Hi golf fans, and thanks for joining me again here at RotoBaller! This week, we'll take a look at some of the juicier matchup spots and finishing position props available for the year's first major championship - The Masters. While we split last week's matchups portion of the article, we did have a nice outright sweat with Ryo Hisatsune, who eventually finished with a T8 at Valero.

This week's picks will all be using the odds on the most unique and fastest-growing sports prediction sites -- Novig. If you're not familiar with the site, I'll explain how it works and provide some of my favorite wagers to place on Novig. There are lots of juicy numbers available for the year's first major!

What is Novig?

Novig is one of the fastest-growing peer-to-peer sports prediction markets. On Novig, users trade directly with each other, without the "vig" typically associated with a sportsbook. The vig is the fee sportsbooks charge you to use their services. It's a hidden cost that can be found in the odds that are being offered on each side of a specific bet. When a book offers -110 odds on both sides of a bet, it is keeping close to 10% of every bettor's wager, regardless of whether you win or lose.

On Novig, users trade with each other on the outcomes of sporting events, similarly to the way that investors trade on the stock market. But instead of having to beat the books, you just have to win against other users -- there's no commission kept by the site.

Users can bet on most traditional sports markets, including moneyline bets, spreads, totals, tournament matchups, player props, parlays, and futures!

Novig operates with two virtual currencies. Novig coins can be wagered for fun and to test out strategies, while Novig cash can be wagered on all markets and then redeemed for real cash prizes.

Access to Novig is widespread; it's now accessible in 36 U.S. states.

How Does Novig Work?

Since users are not playing against the books, there is an opportunity to make more money per wager that you win, and users can usually find better values on bets (in terms of the prices being offered) than on traditional sportsbooks.

There are no oddsmakers; users dictate their own odds. You can either accept the odds that the market is offering or set your own odds.

If you set your own odds, another user has to accept them on the other side for the bet to be activated.

Cameron Young (+130 at Novig) OVER Tommy Fleetwood

There a very few scrubs in the field this week, so while I'm normally not going out of my way to Tommy Fleetwood in matchups, I'm willing to take this very juicy +130 with Cameron Young over at Novig.

Fleetwood undoubtedly has a high floor in this (or any other event). However, I do think it's fair to question his ceiling at Augusta National, as although he's recorded five career top-25s at the Masters, just one of those results has been a top-10 finish.

Conversely, Young feels like the definition of upside to me. A late-2025 win at the Wyndham Championship paved the way for a career-altering victory at this year's PLAYERS. The next logical step is a major-championship title - something that Young has been close to on several occasions, including at the Masters.

While the native New Yorker has missed the cut in two of four career Masters starts, he's posted finishes of T7 and T9 in those other two outings at Augusta National. Currently in full control of his game, I look for that sort of result to be Young's floor this week.

Daniel Berger (+108 at Novig) OVER Alex Noren

Novig is the only place I've found a plus-money number for Berger in this matchup, and while it's not the sexiest matchup on the board, I'm eager to take advantage of what projects for me as a very live dog with Berger.

After missing a chunk of 2025 with a severe hamstring injury, Noren closed out the year with a pair of international wins. After a couple of missed cuts to open 2026, the Swede has been rock solid in subsequent starts. So while there's little that lets us poke holes in his recent form, his Masters history is a different story, as he's missed the cut in three of his four career appearances at Augusta National.

Berger was a late addition to this year's Masters field, thanks in large part to a runner-up result at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. His spike in form is a plus - he's now gained strokes on Approach in four straight - as is his Masters record. The Florida native recorded a T10 in his 2016 Masters debut, and has made the cut in five of six career trips to Augusta National, including a T21 in last year's edition.

Chris Gotterup LEADER AFTER ROUND 1 (+7592 at Novig)

A number I simply can't pass up on Gotterup, as his FRL odds come in at roughly 40/1 around the industry. The 26-year-old has made quite a splash on the PGA Tour over the past year, winning three times since last July - including two of the first three events of 2026.

This week will mark his Masters debut, but there's reason to believe Augusta National will be a great fit. He possesses prodigious distance off the tee (currently ranks 4th on Tour in Driving Distance) and should be able to thrive on the Par-5s (sixth on Tour in Par-5 scoring average) this week.

Jordan Spieth LEADER AFTER ROUND 1 (+7592 at Novig)

If you follow golf even somewhat closely, there should be little need to go into Spieth's relationship with Augusta National. The 2015 Masters champion, Spieth has finished inside the top four in this event six times in his career, posting 25 rounds under par across those 12 career appearances with a low round of 64.

While I have a tough time believing that the Texan can handle the mental gymnastics needed for him to hold things together for 72 holes at Augusta National, there's been enough positive sparks from his game this year to envision him putting together at least one low round - especially at this eye-popping number available at Novig.

Brooks Koepka WINNER (+5782 at Novig)

Underground support for the five-time major champion was reaching a fever pitch a few weeks ago, but an ugly outing in Houston has forced the brakes to be pumped to an extent. Even with that momentum halted, the outright number on Koepka is still floating at around +4000 at most books, so I'm eager to grab the value available at Novig.

Known as the "Big Game Hunter", Koepka has made a career out of winning major championships - often when we're least expecting it. Despite his step back in Houston, his three-tournament stretch during the Florida Swing is reason to be optimistic that there's still some gas left in the tank.

Koepka didn't log worse than a T18 in Florida, with his ball-striking staying at an elite level, and his putting solidifying after the switch to a mallet-style putter earlier this year. His results at Augusta National have been spotty in recent years, but this remains a player who has twice finished runner-up at the Masters.
