Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Teddy Bridgewater could be lined up for a start in a favorable matchup against the Cardinals this week, after an MRI revealed a low-grade AC joint sprain in Baker Mayfield's left shoulder. While there is no concern of a long-term injury, Bridgewater could fill in for this week. He completed 8-of-15 pass attempts for 62 yards, no touchdowns, and no interceptions after coming in against the Rams. Coach Todd Bowles said the team would tweak the offense if Bridgewater starts, saying, "Schematically, we'll have to do some different things for him to make him feel comfortable within the offense and do a lot of things he likes to do." Bridgewater has never started for the Bucs, with his last start coming in 2022 with the Dolphins, and Mayfield has never missed a game for the Bucs, starting all 45 games since joining the team in 2023. It's hard to say exactly what tweaks will be made, but it's worth considering for all the Buccaneers' offensive skill players that things could look different this week without Baker under center.--Zach Thompson
