Eagles D/ST Not the Smartest Play Against Dangerous Lions Offense
The Philadelphia Eagles defense/special teams unit managed to hold a Packers offense averaging 23.7 points per game to just seven points this past Monday, while forcing two fumbles and three sacks along the way. However, they'll have a tougher time finding the same stride in their upcoming meeting with the Lions. Detroit averages the second-most points per game in the league (31.4) and is one of just three teams to average more than 30 points scored. They've been known for their versatile and powerful offense for the past couple of seasons, and this year is no exception. Even with Philly's home-field advantage and coming off a strong performance, there are better options for defenses to start this week.
