James van Riemsdyk Available for Red Wings Debut Monday
Detroit Red Wings left wing James van Riemsdyk has been activated from the non-roster list and is available to make his debut for the team on Monday versus the Toronto Maple Leafs. The veteran forward missed a significant portion of training camp for personal reasons and hasn't played in the first two games of the season. He's expected to join the Red Wings lineup as a fourth-liner. As a 16-year veteran, van Riemsdyk likely doesn't have much gas left in the tank. However, van Riemsdyk has scored a combined 74 points (27 goals, 47 assists) over the past two seasons, showing he can still make an impact.
