Week 6 fantasy football waiver wire pickups for Tre Tucker, Troy Franklin, Elic Ayomanor in 2025. Read their waiver wire outlooks for fantasy football.
Week 5 brought multiple offensive explosions with six teams scoring at least 35 points, the most for any given week this season. There were dominant wide receiver performances, most notably with the two former Ohio State standouts Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Emeka Egbuka going blow for blow in a thrilling game between Tampa Bay and Seattle.
Looking ahead to Week 6, there are some intriguing WR options on the waiver wire, namely with three young AFC receivers who've made some noise already this year: Tre Tucker, Troy Franklin, and Elic Ayomanor.
So, should fantasy managers add Tucker, Franklin, and Ayomanor in Week 6? Let's dive in.

Tre Tucker Week 6 Waiver Wire Pickups
Rostered: 60% of Leagues
Baller Move: Leave on Waivers
Tucker still has the best individual wide receiver performance this season, scoring a whopping 40.9 PPR points in Week 3 against Washington after catching eight of nine targets for 145 yards and three touchdowns. The 24-year-old has been in a full-time role for Las Vegas, running routes mostly from the outside.
For the season, he's caught 19 of 28 targets for 286 yards and four touchdowns. The four touchdowns account for half of the Raiders' total scores on the year, with rookie Ashton Jeanty scoring the other half.
Tucker mostly serves as a vertical threat to take the top off of defenses. While he's caught multiple balls in every game this season, he is a volatile player who will have spike weeks and weeks with virtually zero production. That game against Washington was the first 100-yard game of his career, and he caught three touchdowns all of last season while being a full-time player.
If Tre Tucker scores a Touchdown on this play, the score is 10-14 and this game is a completely different outcome IMO. Instead, Geno Smith's pass is Intercepted a few plays later and the Colts drive downfield and score a TD, leaving the Raiders trailing 20-3 going into half. pic.twitter.com/L4XgZjFUgF

Part of the issue for the Raiders' skill guys has been how inept QB Geno Smith has looked. He leads the league with nine interceptions in five games and ranks 26th out of 35 qualified quarterbacks in passing success rate (45.5%). With Brock Bowers (knee) being seen as week to week, it could open up opportunities for Tucker. But he's not someone that I would make a heavy FAAB investment into.
Troy Franklin Week 6 Waiver Wire Pickups
Rostered: 44% of Leagues
Baller Move: Add in 12-team leagues
Franklin has operated as one of the Broncos' starting wide receivers along with veteran Courtland Sutton for most of the season. Before Week 5, Franklin was matching Sutton in targets with 27. Sutton doubled him up on Sunday (10 to 5) as he abused Eagles cornerback Quinyon Mitchell on the day.
Head coach Sean Payton has utilized Franklin mostly out of the slot at 61%, frequently designing him quick hitters to get the ball in his hands and sending him on vertical shots. He's explosive after the catch and has generated the second-most yards in the league on screens.
The Denver offense has been up-and-down through five weeks with second-year QB Bo Nix. They currently rank 23rd in offensive success rate (43.3%), just ahead of the Russell Wilson and Jaxson Dart-led Giants.

After getting injured and not having a big role in the offense in the first few weeks, offseason acquisition Evan Engram has started to come on a bit. He caught four of six targets for 33 yards and a touchdown against Philadelphia after seeing seven targets in Week 4.
The target competition is a bit of a concern, but Franklin's profile is still worth betting on as he has a full-time role in what we expect to be a good Denver offense. He's worth rostering in 12-team leagues.
Elic Ayomanor Week 6 Waiver Wire Pickups
Rostered: 38% of Leagues
Baller Move: Add in 12-Team Leagues
Ayomanor has been one of the few bright spots on a miserable Titans team. The rookie had a disappointing Week 5 in Arizona, catching only two of four targets for 18 yards, his lowest in all three aspects since Week 1.
The 2025 fourth-rounder earned a starting receiver role out of training camp and has had an immediate impact. He's second on the team in targets behind veteran Calvin Ridley and tied for the team lead with two touchdowns.
Going into Week 5, Ayomanor ranked in the top 20 among all wide receivers with 343 air yards. That tells us Ayomanor is earning targets down the field and creates the opportunity for some explosive plays. Rookie QB Cam Ward has struggled mightily behind a bad offensive line and head coach in Brian Callahan. It's a tough offensive environment, which puts a bit of a damper on Ayomanor, who looks like he could be a star.

Still, his profile and upside are intriguing enough to pick up in 12-team leagues if available. There's a possibility for Ward to take positive steps as the season progresses, and we're likely to see a coaching change that, at the very least, will bring some element of change to the currently anemic Tennessee offense.
