Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 4:
Jordan Addison, WR, Minnesota Vikings
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison was officially reinstated from his three-game suspension on Monday, according to Kevin Seifert of ESPN. Seifert noted that the Vikings currently have a two-day roster exemption and will not need to make room on their 53-man roster for Addison until Wednesday.
The team's No. 2 WR was suspended for the first three games of the campaign due to violating the league's Substances of Abuse Policy. Throughout his first two seasons in the NFL, Addison has been very productive, despite playing alongside superstar Justin Jefferson.
Through 32 career regular-season games, Addison has found the back of the end zone 20 times and averaged 893.0 yards per season. Even though he is the team's No. 2 WR, Addison carries high-end WR3 value in all leagues going forward.
Keenan Allen, WR, Los Angeles Chargers
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen delivered another reliable performance in the team's last-second 20-23 win over the Denver Broncos, hauling in seven of 11 targets for 65 yards and a touchdown.
The veteran once again proved to be quarterback Justin Herbert's most trusted option, especially against an elite Broncos' secondary, leading the team in targets and securing a game-tying 20-yard score late in the fourth quarter.
Allen's consistent high-volume usage and red-zone presence make him a must-start every week, especially in PPR leagues.
Tre Tucker, WR, Las Vegas Raiders
Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Tre Tucker caught eight of his nine targets for 145 yards and three touchdowns during Sunday's Week 3 loss to the Washington Commanders.
This was one of the best single-game fantasy performances this season, though it was somewhat aided by Las Vegas taking advantage of garbage time. Nevertheless, points are points, and managers who rostered or started Tucker will certainly appreciate his huge outing.
While Tucker probably won't replicate his 145-yard, three-score game going forward, he'll still be a riser in the Week 4 fantasy rankings. He's an intriguing waiver wire option with low-end flex appeal ahead of his next game against Chicago.
Romeo Doubs, Green Bay Packers
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs was a non-factor in Week 3's 13-10 loss to the Cleveland Browns, catching both of his targets for 25 scoreless yards. Sunday was an excellent matchup for those who love a defensive battle, but the offenses on both sides suffered.
Doubs continued pacing the Packers' wideouts in snaps by a wide margin. However, his production dipped for the second game in a row since a team-leading 68 yards in Week 1. There was some hope that with his status as the operating WR1, the volume would follow suit. However, Dontayvion Wicks and rookie Matthew Golden both out-targeted him (four) despite running on 14 and 12 fewer snaps, respectively.
Better days are ahead for Green Bay's offense, but they're rushing the ball at the fourth-highest rate in the league (50.29%), leaving little margin to support more than one pass-catcher per game. They'll face the Cowboys on the road in Week 4.
Jameson Williams, WR, Detroit Lions
Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams finished Monday Night's win over the Ravens with only two catches on three targets for 43 yards. He finished second on the team in receiving yards, behind only Amon-Ra St. Brown, and St. Brown was also the only wide receiver who got more targets than Williams.
His decreased production was mostly a result of the game script, since the Lions were able to run all over the Ravens, with David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs combining for 218 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns.
Williams is still a big-play threat and will look to bounce back with a better game next week at home when the Lions take on the Browns.
