Taylor Trammell Kicks Off Rehab Assignment
Taylor Trammell (neck) was scheduled to start a minor-league rehab assignment with Triple-A Sugar Land on Thursday night. Trammell is working his way back from a concussion and cervical strain in his neck on Aug. 21 but is now ready to play in games on the farm. Depending on how he bounces back, the 27-year-old could be ready to rejoin the big-league roster by early next week. However, with Yordan Alvarez back in the fold for the Astros, Trammell will most likely be a bench outfielder for the first-place squad when he's activated off the 10-day injured list. The former first-rounder of the Cincinnati Reds in 2016 has hit just .208 (20-for-96) with three home runs, 11 RBI, 10 runs scored and two stolen bases in his 42 games played with Houston this year. Trammell belongs on the waiver wire in most mixed fantasy leagues.
