Taylor Trammell Carted Off After Crashing Into Outfield Wall
Houston Astros outfielder Taylor Trammell (undisclosed) was carted off the field during Wednesday's contest against the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park after hitting the wall hard while pursuing a triple by Dillon Dingler, according to Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle. Trammell tried to walk off the field with help but couldn't make it and had to be carted off. The 27-year-old didn't have an official at-bat in the contest before being replaced in center field by Jacob Melton. Trammell landed hard on his backside during a catch in foul territory during Tuesday's loss, but he stayed in the game and received clearance to play on Wednesday. We'd say there's a good chance he won't play in Thursday's series finale against the Baltimore Orioles, and Trammell could be facing an extended absence.
