Thairo Estrada Moved to 60-Day Injured List
Thairo Estrada (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day injured list on Friday, which means that he won't be back with the team the rest of the season after straining his right hamstring in Tuesday's loss to the Toronto Blue Jays. Estrada also got a late start to the year with the Rockies and ended up hitting a mediocre .253/.285/.370 with a .655 OPS, three home runs, 21 RBI, 14 runs scored and a stolen base in his 154 at-bats for Colorado. Former prospect Adael Amador is starting at second base in the series opener in Arizona against the Diamondbacks on Friday, but Aaron Schunk could also factor in at the keystone for the last-place Rockies going forward with Estrada on the shelf. Amador has hit .176 (24-for-136) with a homer and eight RBI in 47 games in the big leagues since making his debut in 2024.
