MLB DFS Picks Today: Daily Fantasy Baseball Strategy and Tips For FanDuel, DraftKings (7/22/25)

Thunder Dan's top DraftKings and FanDuel MLB DFS picks for today, Tuesday, 7/22/25. His favorite daily fantasy baseball lineup sleepers and value picks for DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.

While all 30 teams are in action tonight, just 20 of those will be available on the 10-game main slate on FanDuel and DraftKings. Sometimes in life, less is more! For a fantasy analyst, fewer games to break down early in the morning is not always a bad thing!

There is no shortage of ace pitchers tonight as Jacob deGrom hosts the Athletics, Yoshinobu Yamamoto faces the Twins at home, and rookie sensation Jacob Misiorowski faces Logan Gilbert in the ultimate pitchers' duel. We also have a game in Coors with two of the worst pitchers on the slate (Erick Fedde and Bradley Blalock) and a massive 12-run Vegas total. Buckle up, baby, this is going to be a wild one!

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 7/22/2025, with the slate starting at 7:07 PM EST. The lineup picks will showcase elite players, mid-priced options, and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Jacob deGrom, TEX vs. ATH ($9.8K DK/$11K FD)

We get "da GOAT" deGrom for $500 less on DraftKings than Misiorowski, and the matchup with the Athletics makes him my top arm. While the A's have some dangerous bats, they also have the second-highest K% against RHP over the last month at 26.6% so there's a nice strikeout floor and ceiling here for the Texas ace.

The veteran deGrom has been uber-reliable this season, too, while we still have only a small sample size of Misiorowski to go off. I much prefer the safety of deGrom in cash games.

Jacob Misiorowski, MIL at SEA ($10.3K DK/$10.4K FD)

On FanDuel, we can save $600 by going down to Miz in tourneys. He was lights out against the Dodgers in his final start before the break and then flashed his impressive stuff in the All-Star Game (whether you wanted him there or not).

We've seen him dominate even some good teams, and I'd like to think he's matchup-proof, but Seattle does have the third-best wRC+ vs. RHP over the last month. That's enough to make me reserve him for GPP contests.

Drew Rasmussen, TBR vs. CWS ($8.4K DK/$8.7K FD)

Rasmussen is set to return to his normal workload tonight, after having his last three starts purposely shortened to manage his overall workload. He's still not a guy who pitches all that deep into games, but he's been very effective when on the mound, posting a 2.86 ERA and 1.03 WHIP across 91 innings.

The White Sox offense has put up a big number in two straight games, but they still rank near the bottom of the pack against righties in most categories. I am not going to avoid them just yet, especially when we have a relatively cheap option in Rasmussen on this slate.

  • Max Scherzer, TOR vs. NYY ($7.5K DK/$8.2K FD)

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Corey Seager, SS - TEX ($4.9K DK/$3.2K FD)

Seager has been the definition of consistency since around the beginning of June, and his start to the second half has been no different. He's collected at least one hit in all four of the Rangers' games while driving in four runs. I like the matchup for him here, too, as he'll face J.T. Ginn, who just re-entered the Athletics' rotation.

It's a small sample size, but Ginn has allowed a .700 SLG% to lefties this season and a whopping .477 wOBA.

Nolan Schanuel, 1B - LAA ($3.9K DK/$2.9K FD)

I always like to look for a cheap bat at the corner infield positions when I can, and I think Schanuel has an intriguing matchup here against Frankie Montas of the Mets. It's been a mixed bag of results for Montas so far, but his 11.7% Barrel% and 1.83 HR/9 are not good numbers.

Montas has always struggled more against lefties. With Schanuel being the only lefty in the Angels' lineup, this is the perfect one-off play without having to stack the Halos, as I don't necessarily think Montas will get blown up.

Addison Barger, 3B/OF - TOR ($4.5K DK/$2.9K FD)

Barger got the day off yesterday, but he had a fantastic series in San Francisco over the weekend, which included a 4-4 performance on Saturday and his 14th home run on Sunday.

The Yankees' rookie Cam Schlittler flashed some solid strikeout stuff, but also gave up two bombs in his debut. I give the Toronto bats the advantage today; they continue to be one of the toughest lineups in baseball.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Shohei Ohtani, OF, 1B (DK) - LAD ($6.4K DK/$4.7K FD)

Ohtani continues to look like a cyborg and not a human with the way that he keeps cranking out home runs. He went yard again last night to make it three straight games with a homer and ran his season total to 35.

Simeon Woods Richardson is an average pitcher at best, but he has very poor splits against lefties. It's a lot of money to spend on Ohtani, but he is my top priority bat in cash games and an elite one-off or anchor of a Dodgers' stack.

Mickey Moniak, OF - COL ($4.2K DK/$3.4K FD)

Don't look now, but Moniak is quietly putting together a very solid season in Colorado. He went into the break hot and has come out on fire, too, picking up eight hits in his first four games in the second half.

We love to pick on Fedde with lefties, and Moniak is swinging a hot bat right now, so why not roll him out tonight at what feels like a very fair price for a hitter of his caliber in an elite hitting environment?

Brandon Nimmo, OF - NYM ($4.3K DK/$3K FD)

This is the old "why is he so cheap" special once again with Nimmo. All the guy does is hit, get on base, and score fantasy points! He's the leadoff hitter for a team that is expected to score over five runs tonight and is facing Kyle Hendricks.

Yes, I know Hendricks can troll us with the best of them, but you don't have to stack the Mets (it rarely works for me). You should get some exposure to Nimmo, though, in tourneys or cash games.

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

No cheating and picking Coors stacks here! Even with elite matchups for the hitters, I would point out the wind is blowing IN at Coors tonight, and so the hitting conditions won't be quite as favorable as in some other spots.

1. Rays vs. Davis Martin (CWS)

The right-handed Martin is set to return from a month-long stint on the IL. However, this spot could be a tough one for him as he's facing a Tampa lineup that is hitting .281 against RHP over the last month (third-best in the league).

Martin's xERA of 5.48 is the third-worst behind Fedde and Blalock on this slate. He gives up a lot of contact in the zone (91% Z-Contact%) and has to face the Rays in their home stadium, which has proven to be very hitter-friendly this season. Davis is backed by a White Sox bullpen that has the third-worst SIERA in the league, too.

Favorite Combo: Chandler Simpson, Jonathan Aranda, Junior Caminero, Josh Lowe

2. Dodgers vs. Simeon Woods Richardson (MIN)

Oh boy, it looks like the wind could be blowing out around 9-10 mph at Dodger Stadium tonight! That's bad news for the Twins' pitcher Woods Richardson, as he's allowed a 10.9% Barrel% and 1.23 HR/9 this season.

Lefties have had their way with SWR this year to the tune of a .285/.357/.447 slash line, so I will be prioritizing them in Dodgers' stacks.

Favorite Combo: Shohei Ohtani, Freddie Freeman, Michael Conforto, Tommy Edman, Hyeseong Kim

Also consider: Giants vs. Davis Daniel, Mets vs. Kyle Hendricks

Favorite Combo: Tucker, Suzuki, Crow-Armstrong, Busch
