Jon Gray Throws Another Bullpen on Wednesday
Jon Gray (wrist) threw a bullpen session on June 25 at Camden Yards. He is expected to throw one to two more bullpens before discussions of a rehab assignment or a return, MLB.com reports. Gray has now thrown two bullpen sessions within the last week and a third overall. At this point, it appears the Rangers want him to see him throw a couple more bullpen sessions before starting a rehab assignment, but he's trending in the right direction. Gray has missed all of the 2025 season with the Rangers, and there's a solid chance that once healthy, he slides into the starting rotation, although that's dependent on how the young Ranger arms like Kumar Rocker and Jack Leiter are throwing at the time of the decision. Gray is targeting a mid-to-late July return date, and he can remain on the waiver wire for now.
