Max Muncy Clubs Two Homers in Seven-RBI Game
Max Muncy put on a brilliant performance Sunday in a 13-7 win over the Washington Nationals. With the Dodgers trailing 3-0 in the bottom of the sixth inning, Muncy crushed a grand slam off left-hander Jose Ferrer to give the Dodgers a lead they wouldn't relinquish. Muncy didn't stop there, adding a three-run homer in the seventh against righty Cole Henry. It's already the second time this season that Muncy has driven in seven runs in a game. The two-time All-Star owned a sub-.600 OPS as late as May 11, but his production has done a 180 since then. He's now hitting a more Muncy-like .242/.373/.442 with 11 HRs, 45 RBI, 31 runs, and four steals across 287 trips to the plate. He'll have a chance to keep rolling with the Dodgers set to start a three-game road series against the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday.
