Christian Yelich Smacks His Seventh Home Run Of The Season Sunday
Christian Yelich went deep on Sunday in the fourth inning against Tampa Bay Rays' right-hander Drew Rasmussen to help propel the Brewers to a 4-2 victory and prevent getting swept in their three-game series with the Rays. In addition to the home run, Yelich finished his afternoon going 2-for-4 with two runs scored, one RBI, and a stolen base. The stolen base was his eighth of the season, as the home run was his seventh. Yelich has gotten off to a slow start to his 2025 campaign, slashing only .208/.303/.375; however, he is a career .285 hitter and hit .315 in 2024, so progression should be on the horizon for the 33-year-old veteran. Next up for the Brewers and Yelich is a three-game series in Cleveland to take on the Guardians.
