2025 RBC Heritage Player Power Rankings: Top 10 Golfers To Watch

TourPicks ranks his top-10 PGA Tour players to watch for at the 2025 RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head, SC. Insights on the top-10 golfers for the week and reasons why they are primed to win.

The dust has settled, and dawn has set on Augusta, Georgia, where the 2025 Masters gave us one of the most dramatic viewing experiences in the history of professional golf. I'll have a full recap of the experience on the Preferred Lines Podcast later tonight, but now we quickly shift focus to another star-studded tournament for the 2025 RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links.

In this article, I'm ranking my top 10 players who I believe have the best opportunity to win the RBC Heritage. I have carefully evaluated the field, searching for clues based on historical data and recent form to power rank each based on momentum coming in this week. These are the players in the best position to win on the Pete Dye-designed Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head, South Carolina.

Let’s dive into my Top 10 Power Rankings for the 2025 RBC Heritage:

No. 10 - Daniel Berger

• Berger should be able to consistently find fairways, an essential element for success at Harbour Town. He ranks fourth in the field in Fairways-in-regulation.

• Great hands and ability to scramble off difficult lies around the greens. Top 6 in the field in SG: ARG over the last 36 rounds.
• Missed this tournament due to injury the past two years. Before that, his previous three results were T21, T13, and T3.

No. 9 - Sungjae Im

• Im has been making steady progress with his chipping around the greens. He ranks No. 1 in short-term SG: ARG over the past 24 rounds, which includes a +5.5 performance at The Masters.

• Fantastic course history at Harbour Town. His last four starts are T12, T7, T21, and T13.
• Patiently waiting for his iron play to return to the baseline form we expect. Harbour Town is a great course fit for that. Im has gained +7.8 on approach over the past four seasons here.

No. 8 - Patrick Cantlay

• Form is better than results would indicate. Cantlay got crushed on the putting greens at Valero and lost -6.3 ARG at Augusta on the 15th hole alone.

• Unbelievable course form. Cantlay has FOUR top-3 results at this tournament in the past five years. He has done everything you could ask for...except win.
• Cantlay has gained strokes on ball striking in eight consecutive starts. He just needs to put together a good putting week, and he should be on the precipice of returning to the winner's circle.

No. 7 - Russell Henley

• After one bad week at The Masters, in which he busted many lineups and bets, we shouldn't forget about Russell Henley, who makes a terrific course fit option.

• Henley consistently hits fairways and greens, a requirement at Harbour Town. He ranks No. 1 in GIR and No. 8 in FIR over the past 24 rounds.
• Reliable course history and typically plays his best golf on the familiar agronomy of the Southeast. T12 finish in 2024 and T9 in 2021.

No. 6 - Justin Thomas

• It's been a frustrating 2025 for Thomas. Although he statistically appears to be so close to a win, he has struggled to avoid bogeys in tournaments that demand accuracy off the tee.

• Thomas's iron play has returned to peak form, and he has the ability to scramble with the best in the game. If he consistently hits greens in regulation, he can win any tournament.
• Ranks second in SG: Total on all comp courses to Harbour Town, which includes numerous other Pete Dye courses that Thomas has seemingly mastered over the years.

No. 5 - Ludvig Aberg

• A disappointing final two holes at The Masters was the only thing that prevented Aberg from winning his second consecutive Top-5 result at The Masters. The talent level is off the charts!
• My concern is he keeps hemorrhaging strokes with his approach play. On these small greens at Harbour Town, precision on your second shot is extremely important.
• Despite being one of the best Drivers in the game, Aberg actually plays these shorter courses on Tour extremely well, as evidenced by his 10th place at this event last year in his first appearance at the RBC Heritage.

No. 4 - Corey Conners

• At some point, when you hit it as well as Corey Conners is currently, you end up catching a few crucial breaks and win a golf tournament, ala Rory McIlroy last week.
• Conners has gained +5.5 strokes or more from Tee-to-Green in five straight tournaments. The ball striking is world-class at the moment and completely dialed in.
• This is an ideal course fit for Conners, who has performed well here in the past. He's trending, and this is seemingly one of the best courses to back an in-form Corey Conners.

No. 3 - Xander Schauffele

• Under the radar and "gutty" T8 finish at The Masters should give a much-needed confidence boost to the modern-day big game hunter, Xander Schauffele.

• Schauffele's iron play was stellar once again at Augusta, on the heels of a +11.2 Approach week at the Valspar, which was the best registered strokes gained approach performance by any player, all season.
• Fourth place here in 2023, T18 in 2024. His game is 90 percent back, and once the putting comes around he'll be a contender every week.

No. 2 - Collin Morikawa

• Morikawa ranks No. 1 in SG: Approach over the past 24 rounds. He checks the box for both long-term and short-term form with his irons and is potentially the best in the game with a mid-iron.

• Ninth place result here in 2024, despite losing over three strokes on approach that week. That won't happen again.
• Second in Fairways hit in regulation, and he leads all players in the field in the number of birdies made in the past 24 rounds.

No. 1 - Scottie Scheffler

• You could sense the genuine disappointment in Butler Cabin for Scheffler as he finished fourth in the Masters in his quest to repeat. The game is VERY close. Once he avoids some unforced errors, he'll be right back on top of the golf world.
• The putter is red hot at the moment. Scheffler has gained +11.25 strokes putting in his past eight rounds played.
• He's got another chance to repeat this week, and no Rory McIlroy to contend with. Scheffler won this tournament in 2024 and finished T11 in 2023. He knows the formula, and now it's just time to execute and jumpstart his 2024 at the RBC Heritage.
