Rhamondre Stevenson, Quentin Johnston, Xavier Worthy: Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em Picks for Fantasy Football Week 4

Rhamondre Stevenson - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Should I start Rhamondre Stevenson, Quentin Johnston, or Xavier Worthy for Week 4? Fantasy football start em, sit em picks and recommendations for the 2024 NFL season.

As we move on to the afternoon slate of Week 4, it's important to check your fantasy lineups and make adjustments where needed. Some players offer tremendous upside while others provide a safe floor, so different start 'em, sit 'em decisions could be made depending on how your team is faring to this point.

Rhamondre Stevenson, Quentin Johnston, and Xavier Worthy have presented fantasy managers with ups and downs through three weeks of the campaign. Because none of them have been consistently productive in every game, it's fair to question whether or not they belong in starting lineups or on fantasy benches.

Should you start Stevenson, Johnston, or Worthy on Sunday? Let's dive in.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Should I Start Rhamondre Stevenson for Fantasy Football?

The New England Patriots shocked the football world in Week 1 when they defeated the heavily favored Cincinnati Bengals. New England found most of its success via its rushing attack led by Rhamondre Stevenson, who totaled 126 yards and found the end zone.

Stevenson again scored in Week 2 but fell flat against the New York Jets on Week 3's edition of Thursday Night Football. The fourth-year pro was given just six touches, losing a fumble on one of them in a blowout loss to the Jets. Even with this poor outing accounted for, Stevenson has passed the eye test as one of the most elusive backs in the league.

The Patriots will face a tough test in Week 4 against the San Francisco 49ers. While the 49ers are strong defensively, they haven't been completely shutting down opposing running backs. In fact, they've surrendered three rushing touchdowns in as many games.

Concern surrounding Stevenson's fantasy value is justified, especially with another capable player in Antonio Gibson getting work out of New England's backfield. Nonetheless, Stevenson is a talented runner and receiver who should continue to see the field regardless of game script. He is worth deploying as a low-end RB2 and comes in as the RB22 in our half-PPR consensus staff rankings.

Should I Start Quentin Johnston for Fantasy Football?

After an extremely disappointing rookie campaign, 2023 first-round selection Quentin Johnston has started to find his footing in the NFL. The 23-year-old has already surpassed his touchdown total from last season and has taken on an expanded role with the Chargers, who lost Keenan Allen and Mike Williams this past offseason.

Johnston still has plenty of room to grow as a separator, but the number of targets he has earned as Justin Herbert's first read is promising.

Unfortunately for Johnston, a tough divisional bout with the Kansas City Chiefs awaits in Week 4. Kansas City has held opposing wideouts to the 12th-fewest fantasy points in 2024. Furthermore, the aforementioned Herbert will be playing through an ankle injury that could limit his mobility and, subsequently, the Chargers' offense as a whole.

Despite his encouraging usage thus far, Johnston isn't a recommended fantasy option in most leagues. He's the WR42 in our half-PPR consensus staff rankings and should only be viewed as a low-end flex play.

Should I Start Xavier Worthy for Fantasy Football?

Rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy kicked off the season with a bang, scoring twice on just three opportunities against the Ravens in Week 1. The speedster's ceiling remains exceptionally high, but he has been quiet over the past two weeks.

Tight end Travis Kelce is yet to have a dominant showing, but second-year receiver Rashee Rice is soaking up targets in Kansas City's air attack, making it difficult for any of the team's other pass-catchers to succeed.

The Chargers, much like the Chiefs, have been stout on defense this season. Los Angeles has surrendered the 10th-fewest passing yards and seventh-fewest fantasy points per game to wide receivers. This contest, at least on paper, doesn't seem like one in which Worthy will yield high-end fantasy results.

Worthy can always be considered as a flex option simply due to his explosiveness and ability to score on any given play. His floor, however, is concerning, which is why he ranks as the fantasy WR46 in our half-PPR consensus staff rankings.
