Jaylen Waddle fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 3 (2024). Should you start or sit Jaylen Waddle for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Don't Start in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR3
ANALYSIS: Fantasy managers should consider benching Jaylen Waddle for Week 3 against the Seahawks due to the uncertainty surrounding the Dolphins' quarterback situation.
With Tua Tagovailoa on IR with a concussion, backup quarterback Skylar Thompson will be starting, significantly impacting Waddle’s fantasy outlook.
Last week, Waddle managed just four catches for 41 yards. With a less experienced quarterback under center, his ability to generate big plays or accumulate consistent yardage could be further diminished. Thompson’s inexperience and lack of chemistry with Waddle make it risky to rely on the wide receiver for a solid performance in Week 3.
The Skylar Thompson effect:
Props:
Tyreek Hill: 66.5 Rec YDS (90+ in Week 2)
Jaylen Waddle: 44.5 Rec YDS (60+ in Week 2)Consensus currently has Hill at WR13 and Waddle at WR31.
Still too high.

Additionally, the Seahawks may focus on neutralizing Waddle, knowing that Thompson will likely lean on shorter, safer throws and avoid taking big downfield risks.
This could result in fewer deep targets for Waddle, where much of his fantasy value comes from. While Waddle remains a talented player, the downgrade at quarterback and potential struggles in the passing game make him a risky start this week.
Fantasy managers may want to explore more stable options until Tagovailoa returns and the Dolphins' passing attack regains its rhythm.
