Ja'Lynn Polk fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 3 (2024). Should you start or sit Ja'Lynn Polk for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Bench in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR4
ANALYSIS: Ja'Lynn Polk may have found the end zone in Week 2, but his overall usage in the Patriots' offense remains limited, making him a risky start in fantasy football for Week 3.
Polk only saw three targets, resulting in two receptions for 12 yards, and while the touchdown helped boost his fantasy value, the lack of consistent volume is concerning.
In an offense where Hunter Henry and the running backs see a significant share of the targets, Polk’s role remains uncertain, limiting his upside as a viable fantasy option.

This week, the Patriots face a tough matchup against the Jets, who boast one of the top defenses in the league, particularly in pass coverage. The Jets' ability to lock down wide receivers will likely force the Patriots to focus on short, quick passes, reducing Polk's chances of making a significant impact.
With limited opportunities and a problematic defensive matchup, Polk is not a reliable fantasy play in Week 3 and should be avoided in most formats. The upside certainly is there for the future, but for Week 3, he should remain on your bench.
