Mike Gesicki is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for tight ends. Target him as a free agent add off waivers for Week 3 of the 2024 NFL season.

ANALYSIS: Cincinnati Bengals tight end Mike Gesicki surprised fantasy managers by receiving nine targets and catching seven passes for 91 yards in his Week 2 game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Gesicki hasn't been a fantasy force in his career, but the usage is encouraging, especially for a tight end.
Mike Gesicki had a great day yesterday. The Bengals used him on hi-lo concepts both to the middle of the field and outside and let him cook DBs one on one.
Tied for the 4th best yardage game of his career and definitely the best game he's had in general since 2021. pic.twitter.com/fQ5LdtV0zQ

Gesicki is finding a nice role in the Bengals offense, but these numbers shouldn't be expected to continue. WR Ja'Marr Chase is still in an early season funk and it's a matter of time before he breaks out and demands many more targets, and WR Tee Higgins missed the game with his injury.
Gesicki's role will likely fade greatly once Ja'Marr and Higgins are both on the field and in their grooves, but Gesicki is a fine pickup until that happens. Just don't expect much from Gesicki once Higgins steps back on the field.
