NFL DFS: FanDuel Daily Fantasy Football Picks - Conference Championship Round

Zay Flowers - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

After four and a half months of NFL football, just four teams remain with the chance to live in Super Bowl glory. DFS tournaments with just four teams are always challenging, and DFS gamers will have to make budget-friendly decisions at some positions to fit key studs into their lineups. The Baltimore Ravens, Detroit Lions, Kansas City Chiefs, and San Francisco 49ers all have no shortage of fantasy studs, so while it's a tough slate to navigate -- it should be a fun one.

We're heavily attacking one of the two Conference Championship games with our FanDuel selections, as the other contents could be a low-scoring battle from start to finish. I'm also fading one offense almost entirely. There are only a few more opportunities to watch NFL football this season, so let's get to it.

In this article, I will be providing you with my Conference Championship Round daily fantasy football lineup picks for FanDuel. These lineups can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. Be sure to also check out our weekly DraftKings DFS lineup picks and lots of other great NFL DFS articles and NFL DFS tools to help you win big!

FanDuel Quarterbacks - NFL DFS Lineup Picks

Brock Purdy vs. DET ($7,700)

Purdy is significantly cheaper than Lamar Jackson on this slate, and he should be in for a massive outing through the air against the struggling Detroit secondary. During the regular season, the 49ers boasted the fourth-best passing offense (257.9 YPG), while the Lions allowed the sixth-most passing yards per game (247.4). In Detroit's last five games, they have given up a whopping 373.6 passing yards per contest.

Whether Deebo Samuel (shoulder) plays or not, it's hard to imagine Purdy not booming in this matchup at home. The Lions are a pass-funnel defense that makes a living stopping the run, so Purdy, Brandon Aiyuk, George Kittle, and company should move the ball through the air with ease.

Lamar Jackson vs. KC ($8,800)

The Chiefs have surrendered the fifth-fewest FD points per game to quarterbacks thus far, but as most DFSers know, Jackson is matchup-proof and can produce points in bunches anytime, anywhere. Kansas City has arguably the best cornerback duo in the NFL, but linebacker Willie Gay (neck) is banged up, and Steve Spagnuolo's defense allowed the 10th-most rushing yards per game to quarterbacks during the regular season (20.1). Meanwhile, Jackson has averaged 93.4 rushing yards through his first five career postseason games.

If Mark Andrews (ankle) returns as expected, this will be the best group of pass-catchers Jackson has had in a playoff game. Zay Flowers is turning into a legitimate No. 1 wideout, Andrews is one of the best tight ends in the league, and Odell Beckham Jr., Rashod Bateman, and Nelson Agholor are solid No. 3, No. 4, and No. 5 targets. Despite the tough matchup, Jackson might be worth paying up for in the biggest game of his life.

FanDuel Running Backs - NFL DFS Lineup Picks

Christian McCaffrey vs. DET ($11,000)

Using nearly 20% of your FanDuel budget on McCaffrey can make you feel queasy, but the 2023 Offensive Player of the Year front-runner is worth every penny. Although the Detroit defense boasted the No. 1 rushing defense in the NFL this year (60.5), Kyle Shanahan will find creative ways to feed CMC the ball, especially if Deebo Samuel (shoulder) can not play. It only takes a small crease of running room for McCaffrey to blast off to paydirt, and he will likely see plenty of favorable matchups as a receiver against linebackers Jack Campbell and Alex Anzalone.

McCaffrey posted at least 100 scrimmage yards in 13 of his 17 games this year, topping 125 scrimmage yards in 10 of those contests. He reached the end zone in 14 games. With a trip to Super Bowl LVIII on the line, he could see his highest-volume day of the season.

Jahmyr Gibbs at SF ($7,000)

While David Montgomery has struggled in the playoffs, averaging just 4.1 yards per carry, Gibbs has flourished. The rookie speedster posted 99 rushing yards and a touchdown on 17 carries and caught all eight of his targets for 83 yards in the wins over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Los Angeles Rams. Detroit was favored in both games and never trailed in either.

The Lions are 7.5-point underdogs in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday, meaning they're likely to be playing from behind. This season, Gibbs caught 26 passes when trailing to just 13 passes when the Lions held a lead. Additionally, the 49ers allowed the fifth-most receptions per game to running backs during the regular season (5.3). All signs point toward Gibbs being the clear featured back in this battle between NFC powerhouses, and he has the second-highest ceiling on the slate.

Also Consider: Gus Edwards ($5,800),

Bargain-Bin Longshot: Dalvin Cook ($4,500)

FanDuel Wide Receivers - NFL DFS Lineup Picks

Brandon Aiyuk  vs. DET ($7,800)

The Lions have given up at least 141 receiving yards to a wide receiver in each of their last five games. Justin Jefferson (twice), Mike Evans, Puka Nacua, and CeeDee Lamb had field days against the weak Detroit corners, and Aiyuk should be next in line. Even if Samuel plays, Aiyuk is the elite route-runner, YAC specimen, and deep threat that will benefit most from this juicy matchup. Detroit has an elite running-stopping unit, daring opponents to throw it all over the yard against them. More often than not, their opponents accept that dare.

Among PlayerProfiler.com qualified wideouts, Aiyuk ranked No. 2 in yards per target (12.8), yards per reception (17.9), and yards per team pass attempt (2.96), and fourth in fantasy points per target (2.37) during the regular season. With a great chance of increased passing volume from San Francisco on Sunday, Aiyuk has a chance to set new career highs in receiving statistics across the board.

Zay Flowers vs. KC ($6,400)

While Amon-Ra St. Brown is a great choice here as well, it'll be a tough task to fit Aiyuk and St. Brown in the same lineup. That said, we'll gamble on Zay Flowers in this spot. The Boston College rookie has game-breaking speed, so although he's unlikely to be peppered with targets, we're hoping for chunk plays and a touchdown against the tough Kansas City backend.

Flowers ran a route on 100% of the Ravens' passing snaps this year (when active) and ranked No. 7 in target separation. He also averaged 5.1 yards-after-catch per reception during the regular season, which puts him in the same range as CeeDee Lamb (5.0) and Brandon Aiyuk (5.1).

Also Consider: Amon-Ra St. Brown (9,000), Rashee Rice, ($7,100), Jauan Jennings ($5,300), Jameson Williams (5,000)

Bargain-Bin Longshots: Justin Watson ($4,700), Ronnie Bell ($4,600)

FanDuel Tight Ends - NFL DFS Lineup Picks

George Kittle vs. DET ($6,600)

Let's just keep stacking Brock Purdy pass-catchers -- why not? Not only do the Lions struggle against wide receivers, but tight ends have eaten them alive, too. Aaron Glenn's defense surrendered 5.4 receptions, 55.3 receiving yards, and 0.4 touchdowns per game to tight ends in 2023, despite facing a mostly mediocre group of players at the position.

Detroit did not face Travis Kelce or George Kittle this year, and T.J. Hockenson suffered a torn ACL in the first meeting between the two teams, yet he caught four passes for 58 yards before leaving in the third quarter. In a Week 7 outing against the Ravens, the Lions allowed Mark Andrews to catch two touchdowns. DFSers should have no doubt about Kittle's ability to boom on Sunday, Again, especially if Samuel is inactive.

Also Consider: Mark Andrews ($5,700)

Bargain-Bin Longshot: Anthony Firkser ($4,100)
