Nico Collins' fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 18 (2023). Should you should start or sit Nico Collins for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start in 10 + Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR2
ANALYSIS: Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins has enjoyed a breakout season, ranking as WR18 in PPR formats and averaging over 16 points per game. The 24-year-old has scored at least 13 points in five of the last six games, with his only game under 13 coming against the Jets, who boast one of the best pass defenses in football. Collins also played just five percent of snaps in that matchup.
In Week 17, Collins caught seven of eight targets for 80 yards and was pleased to have his quarterback, C.J. Stroud, back. He has had at least eight targets seven times this season and has seen five or more targets in eight straight full games. Houston ranks as the 12th-best passing attack in DVOA, and Collins has been one of the go-to playmakers all season.
The Texans face the Colts in Week 18 with a playoff berth and possibly the AFC South division on the line. The Colts allow the 22nd-most points per game to receivers this year, but they are average in DVOA against the pass and give up more yards on the ground than through the air.
In their Week 2 meeting, Collins had his best game of the season, catching seven passes for 146 yards and a touchdown, resulting in 27 PPR points. With Tank Dell out for the year, Noah Brown unavailable, and Robert Woods questionable, Collins is poised to be the go-to receiving option. He ranks as a high-end WR2 in this pivotal Week 18 matchup.
