DK Metcalf's fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 15 (2023). Our advice on whether you should start or sit DK Metcalf for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Start in All Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR2
ANALYSIS: Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf has posted at least 10 PPR points in all but two games this season, with those exceptions occurring against the Ravens and 49ers. The 26-year-old standout has notched five touchdowns in the last three games, prominently fueled by his hat trick performance against the Cowboys in Week 13.
Metcalf has recorded 20 or more points in two of the last three games against teams other than the 49ers. While he faced challenges in recent matchups against the formidable San Francisco defense, he has consistently excelled against weaker coverage teams.
In Week 15, the Seahawks square off against the Eagles, a team that surrenders the most points per game to receivers this season. Philadelphia ranks fifth-worst in dropback EPA/play this year, underscoring their struggles in defending against the pass.
The Eagles' robust run defense, coupled with a favorable game script, is likely to result in a pass-heavy approach for Seattle. Geno Smith enters the game with a questionable tag, and if he cannot play, Drew Lock will step in as the starter. While Metcalf's ceiling could be impacted if Lock takes the helm, he still ranks as a solid WR2, thanks to an elite matchup in Week 15.
