ANALYSIS: Detroit Lions tight end Sam LaPorta has been dominant this year, ranking as the fourth-best tight end in PPR formats, averaging just under 13 points per game. In Week 12, the rookie tight end caught five of eight targets for 47 yards and a touchdown. He has operated as a clear number-two option in the passing game in an elite Lions' offense throughout the year.
The Lions take on the Saints in Week 13, who allow the 14th-most points per game to tight ends this season. After seeing just 10 targets in Weeks 10 and 11, the Iowa alum was back in the mix with eight targets. While he will always take a backseat to the high receiving volume of Amon-Ra St. Brown, LaPorta remains a very good start-and-forget option at tight end.
