Tyler Conklin's fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 12 (2023). Our advice on whether you should start or sit Tyler Conklin for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Start in 14-Team TE-Premium Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: TE2
ANALYSIS: The New York Jets offense is a huge mystery heading into Week 12 as the team starts Tim Boyle at quarterback over Zach Wilson. In theory, the Jets are hoping this move jumpstarts the offense, but the reality is that Boyle has struggled in his limited NFL action, including throwing an interception last week when the team inserted him in the second half.
That's likely bad news for the Jets' skill position players, including tight end Tyler Conklin. While Conklin has had some good games this season, he was targeted just three times last week against Buffalo, catching two passes for 18 yards. Only one of those targets came from Boyle.
Unless you're in a deep league that gives extra points for receptions by tight ends, you likely have a better option this week than Tyler Conklin. He has an extremely low floor with Boyle starting at quarterback—finishing with zero receptions is easily in his range of outcomes against the Miami Dolphins on Friday afternoon. This could be a long game for the Jets, with the offense potentially struggling to even get many first downs through the air.
