Week 12 Kicker Streamers and Starts - 2023 Fantasy Tiers, Rankings

younghoe koo fantasy football rankings news NFL DFS lineup picks

Tony Camino breaks down all 2023 fantasy football Week 12 kickers - streamers, starts, sits, targets, avoids, and waiver wire pickups. Our Week 12 rankings and tiers for all of the NFL kickers.

The fantasy football regular season is winding down; we only have three weeks left. We are back with more fantasy football advice to help you set those winning lineups with our Week 12 fantasy football kicker streamer and starts. Selecting the right kicker could be the difference between winning or losing your league matchup.

We will aim to replicate some of Week 11's success, with Brandon McManus scoring 10 points, Jason Myers achieving 14, and Greg Joseph finishing with a solid eight points. Avoiding Chris Boswell proved to be a good call, as the Steelers kicker only mustered four points. Similarly, steering clear of Eddy Pineiro was wise, as he managed just five points.

Let’s get right to it with my kicker rankings, the top streaming options, and who to avoid for Week 12.

Kicker Streamers to Target in Week 12

All streamers in this article are rostered in under 60% of Yahoo leagues.

Blake Grupe (NO) vs. Atlanta Falcons (6% Rostered)

New Orleans Saints kicker Blake Grupe has been averaging 8.4 points per game this year and is coming off a bye week in Week 11. Currently ranked as the 15th-best kicker in fantasy this season, he recently had a subpar performance due to a challenging game script where the Vikings fell behind early.

In Week 12, the Saints face the Falcons, who have allowed the eighth-most points per game to kickers this season. Notably, each of the last two kickers to play in a dome against Atlanta posted double figures, and the Falcons' defense surrendered 25 points in their last matchup against Arizona. While this game may not turn into a shootout, Grupe will benefit from perfect conditions and is likely to have multiple opportunities to score in this divisional clash.

Brandon McManus (JAX) vs. Houston Texans (45% Rostered)

Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Brandon McManus was featured on this list just a week ago when he made all six of his kicks, including two field goals, finishing the day with 10 points. With an average of 9.5 points per game this season, he currently ranks as the fourth-best kicker in fantasy.

In Week 12, the Jaguars face the Texans, who are middle-of-the-pack in points allowed to kickers. The game is set in the dome in Houston, and McManus has consistently scored eight points in each of his games played in a dome this season. In a previous matchup against Houston earlier this year, he attempted three field goals but missed two. If the game follows a similar script, McManus could have the opportunity for a solid performance.

Younghoe Koo (ATL) vs. New Orleans Saints (54% Rostered)

Atlanta Falcons kicker Younghoe Koo currently holds the 11th position among fantasy kickers this season, maintaining an average of 8.7 points per game. Although he had a bye in Week 11, he had posted double-digit outputs in three of his four games prior to the break. The 29-year-old has been remarkably accurate, missing just two kicks all year. His productivity hinges on his team's ability to move the ball effectively.

In Week 12, the Falcons face the Saints, a team that has been relatively average in points allowed to kickers this season. In a previous matchup against the Saints at home last year, Koo delivered an impressive performance, posting 18 fantasy points, and could have scored even more if he made all his kicks. Despite the Saints' solid defense, the Falcons may find themselves settling for points frequently in this upcoming clash.

Kickers to Avoid in Week 12

Fantasy players should always stream the kicker position. However, it’s important to avoid picking up and starting a kicker that will be a bust. Let’s see which two kickers you shouldn’t pick up off the waiver wire this week.

Greg Zuerlein (NYJ) vs. Miami Dolphins (12% Rostered)

New York Jets kicker Greg Zuerlein finds himself in a challenging position after a Week 11 zero-point outing. The Jets' offense has struggled, and with the switch to Tim Boyle at quarterback this week, the outlook remains grim. While the veteran kicker has only missed one kick all year, the lack of offensive production has limited his opportunities.

In Week 12, the Jets face the Dolphins, who have allowed the 11th-fewest points per game to kickers this season. Since the return of Jalen Ramsey, kickers have averaged just 5.3 points per game against the Dolphins, including a three-point game from Harrison Butker. Given this unfavorable situation, it's advisable to steer clear of Zuerlein for fantasy purposes.

Anders Carlson (GB) vs. Detroit Lions (1% Rostered)

Green Bay Packers kicker Anders Carlson currently holds the 30th rank among fantasy kickers this season, averaging just 5.9 points per game. In a challenging Week 11, the 25-year-old missed an extra point and a field goal, managing only three points despite attempting five kicks.

In Week 12, the Packers face the Lions, a team that has allowed the 10th-fewest points per game to kickers this season. Despite the game being in a dome and the Packers' offense showing improvement, Carlson's recent struggles in making kicks make it difficult to trust him for fantasy purposes.
