Fantasy Football Injury Reports For Week 10 (Friday Updates): Justin Jefferson, Ja'Marr Chase, David Montgomery, Drake London, James Conner, Tee Higgins, more, more

Ja'Marr Chase - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS and Betting Picks

Fantasy football injury updates and injury reports for RB, WR, TE, QB for Week 10 (2023), as of 11/10, including Justin Jefferson, Ja'Marr Chase, David Montgomery, Drake London, James Conner, Tee Higgins, and more.

Heading into the second half of the 2023 NFL season, there is no shortage of key fantasy football stars in the injury headlines. Needless to say, start-or-sit decisions could be affected mightily this week. Our injury updates and reports for Week 10 as of Friday, November 10, 2023, will give you the latest updates on key guys.

As always, some players have more "real" risk of missing Week 10 than others, but things change quickly, so it's important to stay up to date. Justin Jefferson, Ja'Marr Chase, David Montgomery, Drake London, James Conner, Tee Higgins, and more are in danger of missing Week 10. Fantasy managers should be ready to pivot should things go south.

Justin Jefferson, K.J. Osborn Injury Update

Minnesota Vikings wide receivers Justin Jefferson (hamstring) and K.J. Osborn (concussion) are both listed as questionable to play in Week 10 against the New Orleans Saints. The Vikings opened up Jefferson's 21-day window to return from Injured Reserve this week, but head coach Kevin O'Connell then pumped the brakes on the 24-year-old All-Pro wideout returning this weekend. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect Jefferson to return this weekend, but he'll have a great chance to be back in Week 11. Osborn returned to a limited practice this week after a scary head injury that he suffered in the Week 9 win over the Atlanta Falcons.

He has yet to clear the league's concussion protocol, though, putting him on the wrong side of questionable for Week 10. Rookie Jordan Addison and Brandon Powell will have higher fantasy ceiling if both Jefferson and Osborn are out, as is expected.

Ja'Marr Chase Injury Update

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase (back) was limited in practice for the second straight day on Friday and was given a questionable tag for Week 10 against the Houston Texans. Rookie wideout Charlie Jones (thumb) was able to practice in full all week but is also questionable to come off Injured Reserve. Chase landed hard on his back in the Week 9 win over the Buffalo Bills and is reportedly dealing with a back bruise.

The 23-year-old's status is even more important for the Bengals with fellow wideout Tee Higgins (hamstring) already having been ruled out. Chase seems to be on the right side of questionable, but fantasy managers will need to check back Sunday morning to see if he actually suits up. He's a must-start if he's active. Meanwhile, Tyler Boyd will have a much higher ceiling, even if Chase gets the green light.

David Montgomery Injury Update

Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery (ribs) put in a week of full practices and has been removed from the final Week 10 injury report on Friday. He will return on Sunday to face the Los Angeles Chargers after missing the last two games with rib injuries.

Before his injury, the 26-year-old was Detroit's clear lead back and has found the end zone six time on the ground in five contests. However, rookie first-rounder Jahmyr Gibbs had 51 touches for 315 total yards and two rushing touchdowns while Montgomery was out, so he should be involved a bit more alongside Monty moving forward. Expect more of a committee approach against LA this weekend, putting both Montgomery and Gibbs in the RB2 tier in fantasy.

Drake London Injury Update

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Drake London (groin) has been removed from the Week 10 injury report on Friday and will play this Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals. London missed the Week 9 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, but the writing was on the wall for him to return this weekend after he returned to a full practice on Thursday.

The 22-year-old should return to being heavily involved in Atlanta's passing attack in a good matchup against Arizona, and he'll have more upside with quarterback Taylor Heinicke making his second straight start over Desmond Ridder. London's return means less upside for both tight ends Kyle Pitts and Jonnu Smith, who led the team in receiving and found the end zone last Sunday.

James Conner Injury Update

Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon said that running back James Conner (knee) is "trending in the right direction" to return from Injured Reserve and play in Week 10 against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. Conner has already missed the required four games on IR and was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday. The 28-year-old will most likely be listed as questionable on Friday's final injury report, but he appears to be on the right track to be officially activated from IR on Saturday and play on Sunday.

It's also worth noting that rookie Emari Demercado (toe) hasn't practiced in the last two weeks and looks likely to miss another game, so Conner's return would come at a good time for the Cardinals. He'll be Arizona's lead back when he returns, but he could have his workload limited in his first game back.

Tee Higgins Injury Update

The Cincinnati Bengals officially ruled out wide receiver Tee Higgins (hamstring) for the Week 10 game against the Houston Texans. Higgins injured his hamstring in practice on Thursday and will now miss his second game of the season after just posting his first 100-yard game of the season in the Week 9 win over the Buffalo Bills. Fantasy managers need to move him to their benches for the week. Ja'Marr Chase (back) was injured last Sunday night as well and could be questionable to play this Sunday against Houston.

If Chase is also inactive, quarterback Joe Burrow suddenly won't be a slam-dunk, high-end QB1 for fantasy managers. Tyler Boyd will be a popular play this weekend with Higgins on the sideline, and Trenton Irwin and rookie Andre Iosivas should have bigger roles as well. Higgins could have a tough time getting cleared to play next Thursday night against the Baltimore Ravens, too.

Nico Collins Injury Update

Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins (calf) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals. This was hardly a surprise after he failed to practice on Thursday and Friday. It'll be the first absence of the year for Collins, who has 36 catches, 631 yards, and four touchdowns so far. The Texans have done a good job spreading around their targets and should continue to do so without their top receiver.

With that said, look for Tank Dell and Dalton Schultz to benefit the most from this news. Both players are worth inserting into your fantasy lineups ahead of kickoff on Sunday.

T.J. Hockenson Injury Update

Minnesota Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson (ribs) is questionable to face the visiting New Orleans Saints this Sunday in a Week 10 matchup. Hockenson injured his ribs in the Week 9 win over the Atlanta Falcons but stayed in the game. The 26-year-old plans on playing this weekend and was able to practice on a limited basis this week, so fantasy managers should leave him locked into their starting lineups in quarterback Joshua Dobb's first start in Minnesota.

Hockenson caught a healthy seven passes on 12 targets for 69 yards in his first game without Kirk Cousins (Achilles) under center. He remains a high-end TE1 in fantasy, but check back Sunday morning to confirm that he's active. Hockenson should be heavily targeted again this week with both receivers Justin Jefferson (hamstring) and K.J. Osborn (concussion) on the wrong side of questionable.

Keaton Mitchell Injury Update

Baltimore Ravens running back Keaton Mitchell (hamstring) is officially listed as questionable to play versus the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. He was added to the injury report as a limited participant on Thursday but was able to practice in full on Friday, which is a sign that he's trending in the right direction.

The rookie is an appealing dynasty addition after he broke out for 138 rushing yards and one touchdown last week, but we need to see him succeed in a non-garbage-time situation before we can truly buy into his status as a fantasy-relevant running back. Fantasy managers are encouraged to leave him on their bench this weekend.
