Week 6 DraftKings NFL DFS Picks (2023): Break The Slate With Justin Fields, Matthew Stafford, Raheem Mostert, Ja'Marr Chase, and more

Matthew Stafford - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Joe Nicely's DraftKings NFL DFS picks and lineup sleepers for the Week 6 (October 2023) Main Slate. His top daily fantasy football lineups to target for DraftKings NFL DFS contests.

Welcome back RotoBallers to my DraftKings NFL DFS Picks for Week 6 -- let's break the slate! As we head into Week 6 of the season, we've reached the point in the year where injuries start to become a major DFS factor on a week-to-week basis. This feels like the most heavily impacted slate that we've seen yet in 2023.

This week's DraftKings lineup recommendations are based on matchups, projected DK points and ownership, overall upside/talent levels, and opportunity, as well as factors such as Vegas odds, home-field advantage, and more. There are quite a few great plays available on DK for Week 6.

Also, be sure to check out our weekly FanDuel DFS lineup picks and lots of other great NFL DFS articles and NFL DFS tools to help you win big! Good luck with your DraftKings DFS lineups -- let's dominate this slate together!

DraftKings Quarterbacks - Week 6 DFS Picks

Justin Fields - MIN @ CHI ($7,300)

After an abysmal start to the year, Fields has now recorded 30 or more DraftKings points in each of Chicago's last two games. Fields has thrown for eight TDs over Chicago’s last two games and it was encouraging to see several designed runs called for him by Bears OC Luke Getsy in the squad's Week 5 win over Washington, which resulted in 11 carries for 57 yards -- his best output on the ground since Week 1.

With Bears running back Khalil Herbert already ruled out for Week 6 -- and backup RB Roschon Johnson also dinged up -- we could see Fields serve as Chicago's quasi-running back against the Vikes.

He draws the perfect environment to stay hot this week, as the Minnesota Vikings sport a competent offense that should be able to put points up on Chicago's horrid defense, as well as a defensive unit that's relinquished the NFL's ninth-most DraftKings points to the QB position.

Matthew Stafford - ARI @ LAR ($6,100)

Stafford's average of 17.4 DraftKings points per game doesn't really reflect just how well he's played this season. The veteran has thrown for the league's fourth-most yards (1,451), though he's only tossed five TDs to this point.

The scoring floodgates could well open this week against an Arizona Cardinals secondary that is fresh off getting torched by the previously-dormant Joe Burrow in Week 5. The Cardinals have relinquished the league's fourth-most DK points to opposing signal-callers, have struggled to get pressure on the quarterback, and will trot out two starting cornerbacks that both land in the bottom 10 of PFF's coverage rankings.

I like Stafford's chances of getting some positive TD regression here, as well as his potential to go for over 300 yards and earn DraftKings' three-point bonus.

MORE TOP QB PLAYS: Tua Tagovailoa ($7,600); Joe Burrow ($6,300)

DraftKings Running Backs - Week 6 DFS Picks

Kenneth Walker III - SEA @ CIN ($6,700)

There are lots of strong options at the RB position on this week's Main Slate, so I wanted to highlight Seattle's Kenneth Walker, a player who could well get lost in the shuffle in Week 6.

Much was made of the Seahawks' decision to draft Zach Charbonnet in the second round of the 2023 draft, though it's had little real impact on Walker, who comes out of Seattle's bye week having out-touched the rookie 55 to 25 and boasting a 61% snap share through the first month of the season.

It's fair to call Walker a "swing for the fences" runner and there's certainly home-run potential this week against the Bengals. Cincy is allowing a massive 1.62 yards before contact per carry this season and just a shade over five yards per carry overall...both of which are bottom five in the NFL.

Raheem Mostert - CAR @ MIA ($6,400)

No need to get fancy here...De'Von Achane is sidelined and Raheem Mostert is set to resume his role as the clear lead back for one of the NFL's most explosive offenses. Yes, he'll be a popular DFS choice. Yes, you should play him anyway.

While the rookie Achane has earned the headlines lately, Mostert has been pretty spectacular in his own right, averaging 5.4 yards per carry, 8.5 yards per reception, and scoring eight total TDs.

The veteran speedster draws a pristine Week 6 matchup against a Carolina front that's struggled to slow down opposing running backs. The Panthers are relinquishing 5.2 yards per carry and have allowed the second-most DK points in the NFL to the RB position.

MORE TOP RB PLAYS: David Montgomery ($7,300); Bijan Robinson ($7,200); Kyren Williams ($6,500)

DraftKings Wide Receivers - Week 6 DFS Picks

Ja'Marr Chase - SEA @ CIN ($8,300)

Chase was my top WR selection in this article last week and he responded by going NUCLEAR for us! The Bengals superstar dropped a ridiculous 55.2 DraftKings points on Arizona in Week 5. With Cincinnati quarterback Joe Burrow now seemingly healthy, the party won't stop this week against a Seattle secondary that's been shredded through the air.

The Seahawks have allowed four separate wide receivers to go for over 100 yards through their first four games. They come off their bye week ranked dead last in the NFL in DraftKings points per game allowed to the WR position.

Even if Bengals receiver Tee Higgins works his way back into the lineup this week as he recovers from a rib injury, Chase should continue to get peppered with targets. He's received an eye-popping 43 targets over Cincy's last three games.

Jordan Addison - MIN @ CHI ($5,700)

With Justin Jefferson headed to Injured Reserve with a hamstring injury, it’s wheels up time for Jordan Addison. We can expect the rookie to soak up a big portion of the 10.6 targets per game that the Minnesota superstar will be vacating.

Already a polished route runner who can gain separation, Addison has amassed 249 receiving yards and three TDs while playing in Jefferson’s shadow. He’ll now inherit the top spot for a Minnesota offense that’s throwing the football at the highest clip in the league and leads the NFL with 40.8 pass attempts per game.

Addison and the Vikes will begin life without Jefferson with a Charmin-soft matchup against the Chicago Bears in Week 6. Chicago is bleeding 9.28 yards per target to opposing wideouts this season, a mark that's 27th in the league.

MORE TOP WR PLAYS: Tyreek Hill ($9,300); Puka Nacua ($8,000); Adam Thielen ($5,900)

DraftKings Tight Ends - Week 6 DFS Picks

T.J. Hockenson - MIN @ CHI ($6,600)

Jordan Addison isn't the only Minnesota pass catcher who will benefit from Justin Jefferson's absence. Hockenson is already averaging 7.8 targets per game through the Vikings' first five and double-digit targets feel like his new floor with Jefferson sidelined for at least the next month.

He's a volume-driven play with slate-breaking upside at the always-difficult TE position this week against Chicago. Big surprise, the Bears have struggled against tight ends...they rank bottom-10 in the NFL in yards, TDs, and DK points allowed to the position.

Logan Thomas - WAS @ ATL ($3,500)

When the perma-injured Thomas has made it onto the field this year, he's been extremely effective. Former Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy's offensive scheme has proven to be very tight-end-friendly in Washington and Thomas did his best Travis Kelce impersonation in Week 5, reeling in nine of 11 targets for 77 yards and a score. He's now seen eight or more targets in half of the games he's suited up this year.

Thomas will take his "Kelce Light" act to Atlanta in Week 6. It's a juicy spot, as the Falcons have allowed the league's third-most DK points and TDs to opposing tight ends. The TE position is seemingly always a difficult lineup spot to fill on DraftKings, so I'm willing to take the salary savings and swallow a little chalk with Thomas.

MORE TOP TE PLAYS: Sam LaPorta ($5,600); Evan Engram ($4,500)
