DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (6/20/23): Today's Top MLB DFS Lineups

Corbin Carroll - MLB Prospects Rankings, Fantasy Baseball Rookies Sleepers

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on June 20, 2023. Dawn Tepper's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

Happy Tuesday, RotoBallers! We have another full slate this Tuesday evening featuring an ace in Gerrit Cole and a couple of other right-handed pitchers who could cause their opponents some difficulty tonight. The weather looks good, although I'd watch the Washington and Cleveland games.

I will cover the 11-game slate starting at 7:05 pm in this article. When playing in tournaments, I love to fade Cole, but not against the Mariners, who have a .221 batting average and a 25.5% K rate against right-handed pitchers this season when away from home. Teoscar Hernandez could be a low-owned Mariners' one-off, given his .853 OPS versus righties and Cole's affinity for occasionally giving up home runs in the first inning.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 6/20/2023 and the slate starting at 7:05 pm ET. The lineup picks will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is also essential. Now that we got all of that out of the way, it's onto the picks! DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Gerrit Cole, NYY vs SEA ($ 10,900 DK, $10,600 FD)

While I normally stay away from pitchers over $10,000, paying up for Gerrit Cole against the Mariners is one of those "don't overthink it" moments. Cole is 4-1 with a 3.86 xFIP and 62 strikeouts in nine appearances at home this season. He has a 26.6% K rate versus the Mariners' 26% K rate.

Cole has faced the Mariners five times in his career, winning three games and recording a 3.13 ERA with 44 strikeouts. In The Bronx last season, Cole lost against the Mariners, giving up three home runs but still striking out eight. I expect a win tonight to add to a career total of 4-2 versus Seattle.

Kutter Crawford, BOS at MIN ($5,600 DK, $5,400 FD)

Crawford took the loss in his last game versus the Rockies but still struck out five batters in four innings pitched. He has a 4.02 ERA but an xFIP of 3.83, which shows he has been a touch unlucky. He has a 28.4% K rate away from home and the Twins have a 30.7% K rate at home.

Crawford is a great value pitcher for tonight's slate and his price of $5,600 on DK will allow you to target some of the bigger bats we will be looking at later on in this article.

Also consider: Aaron Civale, Nathan Eovaldi, and George Kirby

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Chad Wallach - C, LAA vs. Clayton Kershaw ($2,600 DK, $2,400 FD)

Against left-handed pitchers at home this season, the Halos are slashing .279/.356/.472 with a .828 OPS. In 14 plate appearances, Wallach is 5-11 with two homers and five RBI, and his slash line is .455/.571/1.091 with a 1.66 OPS. Kershaw is a tough matchup, but I expect Wallach to make a difference in tonight's game against Kershaw and the Dodgers.

Freddie Freeman 1B - LAD vs. Reid Detmers ($6,100 DK, $4,300 FD)

We've been here before, haven't we, Rotoballers? Against left-handed pitchers away from home, Freeman is slashing .347/.396/.816 with a 1.23 OPS. On the road for the season, he is 17-49 with six home runs and 14 RBI in 53 plate appearances against left-handed pitchers. The Dodgers have an almost projected five-run total for tonight's game, and Freeman will undoubtedly contribute.

Ketel Marte 2B , ARI vs Colin Rea  ($5,000 DK, $3,700 FD)

Arizona is one of my favorite stacks tonight. Versus right-handed pitchers this season, the D'Backs have a .190 ISO and wRC+ of 109. Versus righties this season, Marte has a .256 batting average with three home runs and 11 RBI in 82 plate appearances on the road.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Corbin Carroll- OF, ARI vs Colin Rea ($5,700 DK, $4,300 FD)

Carroll just keeps doing Carroll kinds of things, doesn't he? Against left-handed pitchers, Carroll is slashing .386/.488/.886 and has a 1.37 OPS. His .386 batting average against lefties is the highest on the team for the season. He has 19 stolen bases on the season, five of which were against left-handed pitchers. He will be the cornerstone of my D'Backs stack for tonight's slate.

Juan Soto - OF, SD vs Anthony DeSclafani ($5,900 DK, $3,500 FD)

Against right-handed pitchers this season, Soto is hitting .265 with nine home runs and 28 RBI in 211 plate appearances. San Diego is one of the stacks I will be targeting for tonight's slate, and Soto, with his .945 OPS and six stolen bases on the season, will be a pivotal piece of the Padres' stack.

Mookie Betts - OF, LAD vs Reid Detmers ($4,600 DK, $3,500 FD)

In his career on the road, Betts has a .269 batting average with 25 home runs and 58 RBI in 669 plate appearances against left-handed pitchers. For the season against lefties, he has four HRs and a .917 OPS. Betts and the Dodgers are my favorite late-night stack.

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

1. Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Colin Rea

The Diamondbacks have four batters with a .944 OPS or better against right-handed pitchers away from home. They have a 17% K Rate against Rea's 21% K rate for the season. Arizona will not be kind to Rea's 16.40% HR/FB rate and 22% LD rate. I expect the D'Backs to take advantage of Rea's record against left-handed hitters in hitter-friendly Miller Park.

Favorite Plays: Corbin Carroll, Geraldo Perdomo, Kyle Lewis, José Herrera, Ketel Marte

2. San Diego vs. Anthony DeSclafani

3. Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Reid Detmers
