WNBA Daily Fantasy Lineup Picks, Best Bets (5/30/23): WNBA DFS Advice for DraftKings and FanDuel

WNBA dfs lineup picks daily fantasy basketball stock

Justin Carter's top daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for 5/30/23. Expert WNBA DFS advice for DraftKings and FanDuel and today's best bets.

We've got us a busy Tuesday night in the WNBA, with eight teams in action. It's also a night where there are some games that...shouldn't be close. But there is one really exciting matchup, as the Chicago Sky go on the road to face the Atlanta Dream. That one should be a lot of fun.

If you're looking for WNBA daily fantasy picks and some betting advice this season, then you're in the right place. I'll be here providing picks for any slate with two or more games, as well as adding a little betting advice as well.

In this article, I'll be providing you with some daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel. These lineup picks will range from elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. The slates lock on 5/30/2023 at 7:00 p.m. ET. Want to talk more about the WNBA? I'm always available on Twitter and always down to discuss women's basketball: @juscarts.

WNBA DFS Picks: Forward

Breanna Stewart (New York Liberty) - @ SEA- DK: $13,000, FD: $9,800

Following two huge fantasy performances, Breanna Stewart is set to face her former team, the Seattle Storm, for the first time.

This doesn't really qualify as a revenge game since it was Stewart's decision to leave Seattle, but you still have to think there's a little extra juice here. Last time out against Connecticut, Stewart scored 21 points on 7-f0r-16 shooting and also added six rebounds, five assists, four blocks, and six steals. Those block and steal numbers are higher than they'd usually be, but the six rebounds are also half of what she averaged in the first two games, so it should balance out.

Ezi Magbegor (Seattle Storm) - vs. NY - DK: $8,600, FD: $7,000

With Stewart gone, Magbegor is now Seattle's four, and she's also arguably the most important piece for the upcoming rebuild, as the team's best player, Jewell Loyd, is already 29.

Magbegor is coming off a strong showing against the Wings, scoring 15 points on 6-for-9 shooting and adding 12 rebounds, one assist, two blocks, and four steals. She isn't a high-volume scorer, but she makes up for it by usually being efficient on the looks she does get, and her defensive stats add to her ceiling.

Jessica Shepard (Minnesota Lynx) - @ DAL - DK: $8,300, FD: $6,700

The Lynx entered the season without a true point guard and while it looks like Tiffany Mitchell will play the one and do a solid job of it, it wouldn't be a stretch to say that Shepard is the best passer the team has. She just happens to play the five.

The good thing about Shepard in fantasy is that she doesn't have to score a lot to be effective. She had 32.75 DraftKings points last game despite being 1-f0r-4 from the floor, because she grabbed 15 rebounds and dished out seven assists. It was already her second game this year with 10 or more boards, and her second game to record seven assists. Considering she's usually going to be closer to 4-f0r-6 from the field instead of 1-for-4, I think she's definitely worth playing at this price. The Wings have also been without or limiting Teaira McCowan's minutes lately because of an injury, which should make life easier for Shepard inside.

WNBA DFS Picks: Guard

Diamond Miller (Minnesota Lynx) - @ DAL - DK: $7,700, FD: $6,100

Rookie Diamond Miller has struggled to find her shot so far, going 0-for-9 from three. But the Lynx aren't a good team and seem determined to get Miller a lot of minutes, so the volume is there for her to keep having solid outings.

Last game, she was 4-for-10 from the floor for a career-high 14 points and added one rebound, one assist, one block, and one steal. It's her third game in a row with at least one steal. Her rising volume plus the fact that she definitely should get those rebounding and assist numbers up some just from being on the court a lot makes her an intriguing play, especially because I think she might get overlooked on a crowded slate.

Crystal Dangerfield (Dallas Wings) - vs. MIN - DK: $6,500, FD: $5,600

The Wings don't have much depth on the wing, which has led to a lot of lineups with two point guards on the floor and Arike Ogunbowale at the three. One of those two PGs is Crystal Dangerfield, who joined the Wings in free agency.

After a quiet debut for the Wings, she's played 34 or more minutes in both games since. Against Seattle, she was 6-for-9 for 17 points with four rebounds and two assists, and then against the Sky, she was 4-for-8 for 11 points with four rebounds and five assists.

She probably won't produce like that every game, but getting someone who is guaranteed over 30 minutes of play and a decent amount of shot attempts with a DFS salary this low is pretty rare, so take advantage of that.

Kia Nurse (Seattle Storm) - vs. NY - DK: $5,900, FD: $6,000

Nurse is another player whose salary being this low is the biggest part of why I'm recommending her, though she's definitely more of a value on DraftKings than FanDuel.

The Kia Nurse we saw in the opener against Vegas wasn't good. She played just 10 minutes, going 0-for-2 from the floor and finishing with just two things in the stat column: one rebound and one foul.

But then against Dallas, we saw the Kia Nurse that Storm fans thought they'd signed. In 29 minutes, she was 6-for-13 for 20 points and drained six threes while also adding three rebounds, one assist, and one steal.

This is also a revenge game of sorts, as Nurse was drafted by the Liberty and back during the COVID season was their primary scorer. They moved on from her as the team's rebuild started to turn into something bigger, so maybe there's a little extra scoring motivation tonight as well.

WNBA Bet of the Day

Every day, I'll provide my favorite bet. I'll be using DraftKings Sportsbook for the odds.

Season Record: 2-3

Dallas Wings -5.5

The Wings lost to Chicago last time out and they've struggled to close out teams, but they're at home for this one against a winless Lynx team that has really struggled. The Wings net rating of +2.7 is fourth best in the WNBA. The Lynx net rating of -13.9 is the second worst in the WNBA. Dallas was up big over Seattle until the fourth quarter when those teams met; I think this is a game where the Wings put a full game together and win by double-digits over a Lynx team that's just slightly better than the Storm.
