The Philadelphia Eagles designated safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson (abdomen) and defensive end Robert Quinn (knee) to return from Injured Reserve on Wednesday. Both defenders are now eligible to practice and could return to play in the Week 18 regular season finale on Sunday against the New York Giants if they are officially activated from Injured Reserve by then. Gardner-Johnson has played a key role in Philly's secondary but has been on IR since Dec. 3 after suffering a lacerated kidney in Week 12. Quinn went on IR in Week 13 and will also be a key addition to an already strong Eagles defense as they get ready for the postseason. Even if Gardner-Johnson and Quinn don't return this weekend, the Eagles defense will be an intriguing play against a Giants team that is expected to be resting their starters.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
