DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (7/26/22): Today's Top MLB DFS Lineups

Byron Buxton - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on July 26th 2022. Mark Kieffer's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

It is Tuesday, July 26th, the first Tuesday DFS slate in two weeks as we are now a week removed from the All-Star Break. This article has daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on 7/26/2022, Main Slate at 7:05 pm Eastern Time. The lineup will range from some elite players to mid-priced options, and value plays. The main slate is 13 games on DraftKings and FanDuel.

You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports. It's also essential to monitor injury news and today's MLB starting lineups. If you have any questions or comments, find me on Twitter @Mark_Kieffer and ask away!

Today's MLB Weather Outlook

Tampa Bay - Baltimore, Atlanta-Philadelphia, Los Angeles Angels - Kansas City, Chicago White Sox - Colorado, all have some light showers in the forecast. It is unclear how severe any of these games will be and you should check for any updates on Twitter prior to lock!

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Carlos Rodon - P, SFG @ ARI ($9,800 DK, $10,800 FD)

With potential weather in some of the other favorable spots and a weak opponent, Rodon is the top spend up at pitcher on this slate. He has a 3.18 SIERA, a 30.8% strikeout rate, and is facing an Arizona team with a 93 wRC+ against LHP this season. He should be in line for the quality start, win, with as much strikeout upside as anyone on the slate.

Spencer Strider - P, ATL @ PHI ($8,700 DK, $9,100 FD)

Spencer Strider has come down on DraftKings price-wise but has stayed the same on FanDuel. The Phillies offense is not anything to write home about against RHP with a 99 wRC+ and a .303 OBP. Strider comes into this game with a 2.57 SIERA (2nd best on the slate) and a 37.9% strikeout rate (best on the slate). He does not pitch deep into games, which puts him in jeopardy of the win and quality start -- two metrics important for FanDuel. On DraftKings he is good tournament play as his strikeout upside is incredibly high and if he is able to go six innings, he is likely to be the top pitcher on the slate.

Mike Clevinger - P, SD @ DET ($8,100 DK, $8,100 FD)

There are many good pitchers on the slate, I am not sure if I want to go below this price point. Mike Clevinger faces Detroit. He has a 3.75 SIERA, a 24.7% strikeout rate, and a 7.7% walk rate. He has very similar stats to Jordan Montgomery but is less expensive than him on both sites.

As said above, there are many good pitchers on the slate. Shane McClanahan, Aaron Nola, Frankie Montas, George Kirby, and Luis Garcia would all be part of my player pool. There is too much talent to punt on a slate like this. One of the pitchers listed has a strong chance of being the top pitcher on the slate.

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Jose Miranda - 3B, MIN vs. Ethan Small ($3,200 DK, $2,300 FD)

Jose Miranda has a .359 wOBA and .250 ISO against LHP. Ethan Small only lasted 2.2 innings in his first MLB start. In Triple-A, he has a 4.33 xFIP which does not bode well for him in the majors.

Bobby Witt Jr. - SS, KC vs. Jose Suarez ($4,900 DK, $3,200 FD)

Jose Suarez allows 1.80 HR/9 and has a walk rate north of 10%. He has a 5.60 ERA and a 4.45 SIERA. Witt has a .222 ISO against LHP this season.

Nolan Gorman - 2B, STL vs. Jose Berrios ($2,900 DK, $2,600 FD)

Gorman is a little bit too cheap here, as he is likely to hit higher in the order against a struggling Jose Berrios this season. More of a boom-or-bust play as Gorman has a .313 wOBA but .197 ISO against RHP this season.

Darin Ruf - 1B, TB vs. Tyler Gilbert ($3,200 DK, $2,600 FD)

Darin Ruff has a .398 wOBA and .294 ISO against LHP this season. Tyler Gilbert has a 5.21 SIERA, a 7% K-BB%, and allows 2.08 HR/9.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Byron Buxton - OF, MIN vs. Ethan Small ($5,100 DK, $3,700 FD)

Yes he is expensive. He also has a .376 wOBA and .352 ISO against LHP this season.

Taylor Ward - OF, LAA vs. Angel Zerpa ($3,900 DK, $2,900 FD)

Taylor Ward is very effective against LHP with a .402 wOBA and .206 ISO. Angel Zerpa has seven MLB innings under his belt with a 4.69 xFIP.

Austin Slater - OF, SF vs. Tyler Gilbert ($3,300 DK, $2,500 FD)

Austin Slater is likely to leadoff and has a .386 wOBA against LHP this season. Gilbert is not a good LHP, this is a great spot.

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

Here are a few stacks I am really liking today:

  • Minnesota Twins: Ethan Small is unproven and struggled in his previous MLB start.
  • San Francisco Giants- They will play the matchups and put the platoon guys in. Just be aware guys could get pinch hit for later in the game.
  • Colorado Rockies -  Coors Filed game but potential rain in the forecast and some baseball minds think Kopech is better than he is. I'd expect the White Sox to be more popular in Colorado.
  • Los Angeles Angels- Angel Zerpta has a good ERA in seven innings pitched. His underlying stats indicate some regression could happen.
  • Boston Red Sox/San Diego Padres/Tampa Bay Rays - These offenses are all facing bad pitchers. The Red Sox are in a funk while the Padres and Rays do not have much power on the team outside of a couple of players each.
