Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 12:
Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Panthers
Carolina Panthers rookie wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan caught eight of 12 targets for 130 yards and two touchdowns during Sunday's Week 11 win over the Atlanta Falcons in overtime. McMillan continues to showcase a phenomenal rapport with Bryce Young, fetching at least eight targets in eight of his first 11 games.
The rookie set new season-highs (and, thus, career-highs) in targets, catches, and receiving yards on Sunday. He'll look to build on his momentum as a high-end WR2 with WR1 upside entering Week 12 against the San Francisco 49ers.
Matthew Golden, WR, Packers
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Matthew Golden (shoulder) was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday. The rookie ran routes off to the side, but he didn't catch any passes as the Packers began to prepare for Sunday's Week 12 contest against the Minnesota Vikings. Golden has been a disappointment in his first NFL season, frequently appearing on the injury report and catching just 24 passes for 286 yards and zero touchdowns through nine games.
The Packers have a lengthy injury report on the offensive side of the ball with Tucker Kraft (knee) on IR, Josh Jacobs (knee) and Savion Williams (foot) not practicing, and Golden, Christian Watson (knee), Romeo Doubs (wrist), and Dontayvion Wicks (calf) all limited. If some of his fellow pass-catchers can't suit up this week, Golden would have a chance to emerge as Jordan Love's primary target, giving him WR3/flex appeal.
On the other hand, he has his own injury concerns to deal with, and he'll likely need to log a full practice at some point to avoid being issued a "questionable" designation.
Bhayshul Tuten, RB, Jaguars
Jacksonville Jaguars rookie running back Bhayshul Tuten (ankle) was listed as a limited practice participant on Wednesday due to an ankle injury that he suffered late in the Week 11 win over the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Backfield mate Travis Etienne Jr. (shoulder) was also injured on Sunday, which likely played a part in Tuten's career day. The 23-year-old had season-highs across the board in snap percentage (32%), rushing attempts (15), and rushing yards (74) while scoring his third touchdown of the year.
Etienne and Tuten appear to be trending toward both playing this Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals, but Tuten's impressive performance against the Bolts might have earned him a bigger share of the backfield pie going forward. Tuten is only rostered in 37% of Yahoo leagues, so he's widely available and is worth a pickup with another good matchup on tap.
Chimere Dike, WR, Titans
Tennessee Titans rookie wide receiver Chimere Dike (chest) was listed as a full participant in Wednesday's practice despite leaving the Week 11 loss to the Houston Texans early with a chest injury. Dike should be fine to play in Week 12 versus the visiting Seattle Seahawks in a game in which the Titans are probably going to have to throw often. Meanwhile, fellow rookie Elic Ayomanor (hamstring) didn't practice on Wednesday after getting hurt on Sunday, and Calvin Ridley (leg) is done for the season after breaking his leg.
The 23-year-old Dike could be in line for a heavy target load this weekend against Seattle, which would make him an attractive flex consideration in fantasy football. The fourth-rounder has caught only three passes for 19 yards in the last two games, but he did have 11 catches on 12 targets for 163 yards and a touchdown in Weeks 7 and 8 combined.
