Jeremiah Smith, Carnell Tate Not Dealing With Long-Term Injuries
Ohio State head coach Ryan Day said he is not worried about the status of star wideouts Jeremiah Smith (undisclosed) and Carnell Tate (undisclosed) long-term, according to ESPN's Pete Thamel. Tate missed Saturday's game against the UCLA Bruins, while Smith did not play in the second half. Day said Smith is dealing with "a little bit of a nagging issue." It's unclear what either wideout is specifically dealing with, but it sounds like both will be fine to return to action in the near future. Through Ohio State's first 10 games, Tate and Smith have combined for 108 receptions for 1,613 yards and 17 touchdown catches. This is arguably the best wide receiver tandem in the country, and having them available will be key as the Buckeyes chase a second consecutive College Football Playoff National Championship run.
