Marlon Vera Loses Fourth Fight In A Row
Former bantamweight title challenger Marlon Vera suffered a unanimous-decision loss to David Martinez in the co-main event of UFC Mexico City on Saturday. Vera, who is known as a slow starter, didn't do much in the first and second rounds as Martinez used his speed and movement to frustrate Vera. In the third round, Vera was in desperate need of a finish, but Martinez managed to survive and avoid the danger. In 15 minutes of action, Vera landed 42 significant strikes. Vera is now 0-4 in his last four fights, marking the longest losing streak of his career.
