Morgan Geekie Nets Two Power-Play Goals Wednesday
Boston Bruins forward Morgan Geekie had two power-play goals in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Anaheim Ducks. Geekie's work with the man advantage helped the Bruins keep things close, but they had no answer to Ian Moore's late goal. On Wednesday, Geekie joined Colorado's Nathan MacKinnon and Edmonton's Leon Draisaitl at the top of the NHL's goal-scoring charts. He has lit the lamp 14 times in 22 games, adding six assists. 11 of Geekie's 20 points, including four goals, have come on the power play. Boston closes out the week with a pair of games against poor penalty-killing teams in the Kings and Sharks, giving Geekie a chance to regain offensive momentum after a recent mini-slump of two games.
