Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Outlooks

Below are some fantasy football waiver wire outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider adding off waivers in Week 7:

Kayshon Boutte, WR, New England Patriots

New England Patriots wide receiver Kayshon Boutte caught all five of his targets for 93 yards and two touchdowns during Sunday's Week 6 win over the New Orleans Saints. His touchdowns came on 25-yard and 29-yard receptions, respectively. Boutte had been relatively inconsistent through the first five weeks of the season, but he vaulted himself back onto the fantasy radar this Sunday.

His breakout was not necessarily a surprise, given that New Orleans' defense entered this week having allowed the 10th-most fantasy points to perimeter receivers. In addition to taking advantage of a favorable matchup, Boutte capitalized on a homecoming of sorts. The young receiver grew up in Louisiana and previously played college football at Louisiana State University, and on Sunday, he posted a phenomenal two-touchdown game in Louisiana's only NFL stadium.

He's a low-end WR3/flex in deeper leagues ahead of another favorable matchup against the Tennessee Titans in Week 7.

Jalen Coker, WR, Carolina Panthers

Carolina Panthers head coach Dave Canales said that wide receiver Jalen Coker (quadriceps) is "really close" to returning, according to Joe Person of The Athletic. The Panthers opened Coker's 21-day practice window last week, and he was actually practicing in full, but they held him out of the Week 6 win over the Dallas Cowboys. Coker suffered a serious quad injury in late August in training camp and opened the 2025 campaign on Injured Reserve.

If he doesn't suffer a setback at practice this week, it seems there's a good chance he'll officially be activated to make his season debut in Week 7 against the New York Jets. The 23-year-old second-year wideout should be scooped off waivers now if you need WR depth. The Panthers haven't really had anyone step up as a bona fide No. 2 behind rookie Tetairoa McMillan this year.

Coker was very productive down the stretch last year and finished with 32 catches for 478 yards and two touchdowns in 11 games (four starts).

Troy Franklin, WR, Denver Broncos

Denver Broncos wide receiver Troy Franklin had an underwhelming outing in Sunday's 13-11 win over the New York Jets in London. He finished with three catches for 19 yards while rushing for two yards on one rushing attempt and a fumble in Sunday's victory. In what was mostly a defensive game with only 24 points scored between both teams, the Jets' secondary suffocated the Broncos' offense, holding Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix to his second-lowest passing yards in a game this season with just 174 yards.

Franklin would tie with running back RJ Harvey for the second-most targets on the team at four. Losing a fumble on the day nearly erased all of his offensive production, holding him to just 21 total yards in London. Franklin will continue to seek consistency, but is mainly a FLEX option in deep leagues for fantasy managers in Week 7 versus the New York Giants.

He is worth adding in all 12+ team leagues ahead of Week 7.

Tez Johnson, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie wide receiver Tez Johnson scored his first career touchdown on Sunday on a 45-yard bomb, and he could be in play as a sneaky flex option moving forward. The Buccaneers were already without Mike Evans (hamstring) and Chris Godwin (leg) before losing rookie sensation Emeka Egbuka (hamstring) to a hamstring injury that could keep him sidelined for multiple weeks.

While Evans nears a return, head coach Todd Bowles has already said that Godwin will not play in the team's Week 7 matchup with the Lions. With Baker Mayfield playing at an MVP-level regardless of who he has been throwing to, Johnson has some flex appeal, as he's now gone for 104 yards and a score over the last two games.
