Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins tore his Achilles in Week 8's 24-10 win over the Green Bay Packers. The injury was a huge setback for the Vikings, as before their quarterback went down, the team was bouncing back from a 1-4 start to the season.
Cousins was playing at an MVP level before getting hurt. Apart from him, the team is also missing star wide receiver Justin Jefferson, who got hurt in Week 5 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Will Kirk Cousins play again this season? What's the latest on his injury update? Let's take a look at it.

Kirk Cousins Latest Injury Update for Fantasy Football - November 26
As per the latest reports, Kirk Cousins has had successful surgery to repair his torn Achilles. Dr. Chris Coetzee performed the surgery, and the procedure that Cousins went through is not similar to what Aaron Rodgers had.
Unfortunately, the Vikings quarterback will not return to play this season. He will be ready to play next season, but an exciting offseason awaits. The 35-year-old quarterback is an unrestricted free agent after this season, and although the Vikings have expressed their desire to bring him back, the franchise could face a bidding war with other teams.
Before getting hurt, Cousins threw for 2,331 yards, 18 touchdowns, and five interceptions in eight games this season. He was averaging 291.4 passing yards per game and would have been in the MVP conversation if he was still healthy.
Joshua Dobbs is now the new starting quarterback for the Vikings in Cousins' absence. Since the veteran quarterback's season-ending injury, the team is 2-1 and will face the Chicago Bears in Week 12.
Joshua Dobbs Fantasy Football Outlook
After starting the season with the Arizona Cardinals, Joshua Dobbs was traded to the Minnesota Vikings. Rookie quarterback Jaren Hall suffered a concussion, which provided an opportunity for Dobbs, and he has played quite well this season.
Since joining the Vikings, Dobbs has thrown for 647 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception with a passer rating of 94.4 in three games. He has also rushed for 131 yards and three touchdowns on 23 carries.
Ahead of the tough matchup against the Bears, the RotoBaller staff has Dobbs ranked #13 among the quarterbacks.
