What Time is 'Monday Night Football?' Week 4 NFL Schedule

Geno Smith - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL DFS Picks

What time are the "Monday Night Football" games for Week 4 of the 2024 NFL season? Bruce looks at all the details, including who is playing and how each team can win.

Week 4 ends the same way Week 3 ended; for the second straight week, Monday Night Football features simultaneous games. Week 3's double dose was a mixed bag, with one blowout and one nailbiter. Hopefully, Week 4 will give us two exciting games to end the week with.

The first kickoff will feature two teams who are off to disappointing starts as the 0-3 Tennessee Titans will travel to Florida to play the 1-2 Miami Dolphins. The second kickoff could be a preview of the NFC Championship game as the 3-0 Seattle Seahawks go to Motor City to play the 2-1 Detroit Lions.

This piece will break down Week 4's Monday Night Football games, highlighting the teams, start times, and key players to watch.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Who is Playing on "Monday Night Football?"

As mentioned above, Week 4 concludes with two overlapping games. We have AFC represented in game one and NFC represented in game two.

The Titans are looking for their first win, though their record isn't entirely indicative of their play to this point. Two of their losses came by a touchdown, and they have been on the wrong side of turnover luck to this point, sitting dead last in turnover differential. Miami will be starting their third different quarterback in either Tim Boyle or Tyler Huntley this season, trying to stabilize their season after Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) has been sidelined and placed on injured reserve.

Almost the exact opposite game situation happens in the second kickoff. Seattle is maybe the least discussed 3-0 team in recent memory. Quarterback Geno Smith is quietly having himself a great year so far, while the Seahawks defense has taken a major step up this season. Detroit hasn't been as dominant as they were last year, but they have been predictably efficient on the ground led by thunder and lightning running backs David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs.

When and How Can I Watch The Game(s)?

The first Monday Night Football game this week starts at 7:30 p.m. EST, and the second game starts 45 minutes later, at 8:15 p.m. EST. How you watch it will depend on how you typically consume television.

The first of the two games (Tennessee @ Miami) is going to air on ESPN and ESPN+. The second game (Seattle @ Detroit) will air on ABC and ESPN+ as well.

Additionally, if you consume live television through other streaming sites (such as Hulu+, YouTubeTV, or Sling), both ABC and ESPN are usually streamable, though some exclusions apply. The costs of those apps vary.

Who is Going to Win?

Both home teams are favored this Monday night, with Vegas predicting two close games. The Dolphins are favored by 1 point, while the Lions are favored by 3.5 points.

Tennessee versus Miami features two teams begging for quarterbacking competence. Tennessee likely isn't in an 0-3 hole right now if quarterback Will Levis wasn't as careless with the ball as he has been, as he is second in the league in interceptions and tied for first in fumbles.

Miami's offense, meanwhile, hasn't been the same since losing their starting quarterback and will be starting their third QB in as many weeks. The winner of this game, as simple as it sounds, will likely be the team that had their quarterback make the fewest mistakes.

The second game is a lot spicier. Seattle's new coach, Mike Macdonald, instilled a defensive toughness in the Seahawks team. Through the first three games, Seattle has the second-best defense in terms of yards allowed and fourth-best in points allowed. That combined with their efficient offense helped Seattle win each of those first three matchups.

Detroit, meanwhile, has been predictably solid rushing the ball with their two-headed monster in Montgomery and Gibbs. If there is a weakness in the Seahawks' defense, it's against the run. If the Lions lean on the ground game, it may be difficult for Seattle to keep up; if the Seahawks force the passing game to attack, Detroit may be the team that would struggle the most.
