Week 4 DraftKings NFL DFS Picks - Main Slate (2024): Jayden Daniels, Saquon Barkley, Diontae Johnson, and more

Jayden Daniels - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Joe Nicely's DraftKings NFL DFS picks and lineup sleepers for the Week 4 (September 2024) Main Slate. His top daily fantasy football lineups to target for DraftKings DFS contests.

Welcome back to our weekly DraftKings DFS column here at RotoBaller! I hope you all enjoyed Week 3 and had some profitable DFS lineups, although last week's Main Slate was perhaps the ugliest we've seen to this point of the season.

It's shaping up to be a fairly unique Week 4 Main Slate that features both some intriguing matchups with explosive DFS potential, as well as a couple of games that appear to be complete duds on paper. As always, pricing will continue to tighten as the season continues.

These DraftKings lineup recommendations are based on matchups, projected DK points and ownership, overall upside/talent levels, and opportunity, as well as factors such as Vegas odds, home-field advantage, and more. There are quite a few great plays available on DK for Week 4. Also, be sure to check out our weekly FanDuel DFS lineup picks and lots of other great NFL DFS articles and NFL DFS tools to help you win big! DraftKings Quarterbacks - Week 4 DFS Picks

Joe Burrow - CIN at CAR ($6,600)

Neither Cincinnati nor Carolina have winning records -- and I don't think either squad is a particularly good football team right now -- but this could turn out to be one of the more explosive game environments on the slate. Sporting a fairly tight spread and a projected total of 46.5, this is a classic case of two competent offenses squaring off against two poor defenses.

Despite the Bengals' 0-3 start, Joe Burrow has been on point across the last two weeks. Joey B has totaled 582 yards and five TDs while averaging 37 pass attempts per game in Cincy's last two. He should shred a Carolina secondary that's allowed the NFL's second-most passing TDs (seven) and has been gashed for 7.5 yards per pass attempt this season.

Jayden Daniels - WAS at ARI ($6,500)

We pegged Jayden Daniels as a DFS superstar in this article back in Week 1 and he's not disappointed. The Commanders rookie has now scored 28 or more DraftKings points in two of his first three starts in the NFL. Those outbursts have been aided by his ability (and willingness) to run the ball.

Daniels ranks first in the NFL in nearly every rushing metric at the QB position. He leads the league in QB carries (38), red-zone carries (10), and rushing TDs (three), while standing second in the NFL with an average of 57.0 rushing yards per game.

However, he's no one-trick pony, as he's been effective when throwing the ball as well. Daniels stands fifth in the league in yards per attempt (8.7) and second in true completion percentage (80.3%).

The dynamic rookie has every opportunity to continue to show out against Arizona in Week 4. The Cardinals rank dead last in the NFL in completion percentage (75.3%) allowed and 31st in yards per attempt (8.86) allowed to the QB position.

DraftKings Running Backs - Week 4 DFS Picks

Saquon Barkley - PHI at TB ($8,000)

Barkley sits atop the RB position on DraftKings this week, but he may well be worth the big price tag. Through the first three games of 2024, Philadelphia has not been shy about trying to get its money's worth out of its prized offseason acquisition.

Barkley has seen an elite workload in the Eagles offense with his snap share (87.3%), carries (63), and red-zone touches (18) all ranking second in the NFL this season.

It's not been empty calories, either, as the Penn State product has piled up production with the opportunities. Barkley leads all running backs in DraftKings points scored and currently tops the NFL in rushing yards (351) and TDs (five).

With A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith both banged up and possibly out against Tampa Bay this week, Philly will continue to feed Saquon against a soft Bucs run defense that's allowed the NFL's third-most DK points to the RB position this season.

Najee Harris - PIT at IND ($5,400)

The Steelers back returned to practice on Thursday after suffering an injury to his right arm in Week 3. The same can't be said for Harris' backfield mate Jaylen Warren, who has not practiced this week and looks very doubtful to play in Week 4 as of this writing. If Warren is indeed ruled out, Harris would automatically become a cash game and small-field GPP lock against the Colts.

Even with Warren siphoning off some touches, Harris has still logged 64 total opportunities across Pittsburgh's first three games. The run-heavy Steelers will undoubtedly look to keep it on the ground this week against an Indianapolis defense that ranks dead last in the NFL in rushing yards (409) allowed to opposing running backs.

DraftKings Wide Receivers - Week 4 DFS Picks

Marvin Harrison Jr. - WAS at ARI ($7,500)

We have not been shy about targeting the Washington Commanders secondary in this article. We'll continue to follow that strategy in all-gas-no-brakes fashion in Week 4 with Marvin Harrison Jr.

After pulling a disappearing act in the season opener, the rookie has been as good as advertised. Harrison has quickly proved his chops as a deep threat. He currently boasts a juicy 16.4 aDOT and stands fourth in the NFL in air yards (360).

The Ohio State product draws a dreamy home matchup against a leaky Commanders secondary this week. Washington has been abused by opposing receivers this year and ranks last in the NFL in multiple statistical categories vs. the WR position, including DK points and TDs allowed.

With Cardinals tight end Trey McBride currently in concussion protocol and questionable to play, all signs point to a big outing for Harrison this week.

Diontae Johnson - CIN at CAR ($5,600)

The insertion of Andy Dalton into the Panthers lineup in Week 3 unlocked Diontae Johnson. After reeling in just five catches for 34 yards across the first two weeks of the season with Bryce Young under center, Johnson exploded for 122 yards and a TD on eight catches against Las Vegas last week.

Dalton peppered Johnson with targets (14) in Week 3, and with Carolina receiver Adam Thielen now headed to IR, we can expect more of the same against the Bengals this week in an environment that has shootout possibilities.

Cincinnati rolls into this weekend with a 0-3 record and a large portion of the blame can be placed on a defense that's allowing 26.7 points per game and appears to be getting worse each week.

DraftKings Tight Ends - Week 4 DFS Picks

Brock Bowers - CLE at LV ($5,600)

One day, historians will look back and discover that 2023 was the one brief moment in time in which tight ends were an asset to DraftKings NFL lineups. Unfortunately, 2024 has regressed to the historical norm, which means the TE position is routinely stinking up the joint.

With Trey McBride in concussion protocol and Travis Kelce apparently in his washed era, Brock Bowers is the closest thing we'll find to a "safe" bet on this slate. The Raiders rookie stands first among all tight ends in targets (21) and receptions (18) while ranking second in yards (197) and DK points scored.

Dallas Goedert - PHI at TB ($5,100)

It feels "chasey" to target Dallas Goedert fresh off a monster 30.0-point DK performance, but it would also be a bit silly to dismiss him because of it. While we know he won't be able to replicate his 10 catches and 170 receiving yards of a week ago, Goedert remains a standout play at the barren TE position.

With Eagles receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith both missing practice yesterday and questionable to suit up against the Bucs, Goedert could potentially be Philadelphia's top pass-catching option in Week 4.
