Adam Sabol analyzes the Week 10 NFL matchups, and provides fantasy football start/sit advice for games 8-13. Set you optimal lineups with quarterbacks, wide receivers, tight ends & running backs.

rotoballer-fantasy-football-advice-andre-ellingtonWelcome to Week 10 of NFL and fantasy football action, RotoBallers.

Each week of the NFL season, we will be breaking down each of the NFL matchups and providing you with some fantasy football advice and lineup recommendations based on matchups that we love, matchups that we hate, and some high-risk/high-reward players, as well.

Below, you will find our Week 10 NFL matchups & fantasy football start/sit analysis, which should help you prepare your lineups to win this week. It’s essential to analyze the weekly NFL matchups to find lineup sleepers and gems, while also avoiding those players who may turn out to be busts.

Editor's Note: The FFPC Baby Gorilla Tournament is now open, featuring a $100,000 grand prize and a $675,450 total prize pool! This 12-team, Tight End Premium contest uses a 20-round draft format, with the overall winners determined by total points scored during Weeks 15–17. Get $25 to use toward your first entry by signing up through our link. Grab your team now! Sign Up Now!

To read about the rest of this week’s NFL matchups, check out Start/Sit &  Matchups Analysis for Games 1-7 and our Week 10 Standard and PPR Rankings. And of course you can always stop by the RotoBaller chat rooms for any live advice you may need.

Falcons @ Buccaneers: Sunday 11/9 @ 1:00 PM EST

Matchups We Love:

Matt Ryan: Last time these two teams faced off, Ryan threw three touchdown passes in a 56-point romp.  With the Bucs still no better than they were that week, this could be an opportunity for Matty Ice to show off his hot hand.

Julio Jones: Jones caught two of those touchdown passes last time against Tampa, and had 100+ receiving yards in the contest.  He's at the very least a WR2 this weekend.

Roddy White: Bye week hell inflates his value somewhat: he should be a WR3 or FLEX, but he'll probably end up your WR2 this week.  It's not a bad fallback option to have.

Matchups We Hate:

Josh McCown: As it turns out, McCown owes his 2013 breakout to a pass-happy offense led by a coach who's renowned for his work with quarterbacks, and let's not forget the two superstar wide receivers.  Once removed from that situation, the 12-year journeyman side of him has reared its ugly head again.

Vincent Jackson: Jackson has one TD on the year, and McCown's quarterbacking hardly inspires confidence.  I'd pass on VJax this week.

Steven Jackson: Lavonte David's team may be finished, but Lavonte David is not.  Despite Tampa's cartoonish ineptitude, SJax is no longer a viable fantasy RB.

Other Matchups:

Bobby Rainey: He played solidly last week, and the Falcons rank last against the run.  Temper your upside expectations, but 12-15 points seem like a decent bet for Rainey this week.

Broncos @ Raiders: Sunday 11/9 @ 4:05 PM EST

Matchups We Love:

EVERY.  SINGLE.  BRONCO: You just know that the Broncos are pissed about last week, and they want to ruin their next opponent's day.  That next opponent is Oakland.  Technically, this is a sporting event, but you can also go hunting with a bazooka, an AK-47 and a Barrett .50-cal, and that's "sport" too.

Matchups We Hate:

EVERY.  SINGLE.  RAIDER: Just in case the bazooka and assault rifle didn't make it clear enough, avoid them.  They're a fantasy Black Hole anyway (why yes, my mommy DOES think I'm clever, thank you), and the Broncos want to reduce O.co Coliseum to a smoking crater.  Fun fact: if they're successful, the crime rate in Oakland will be cut in half.

Rams @ Cardinals: Sunday 11/9 @ 4:25 PM EST

Matchups We Love:

Andre Ellington: Red Jesus is a total yardage monster, and the Rams have given up the sixth-most rushing yards in the league this year.  He's absolutely an RB1 this week.

Matchups We Hate:

Austin Davis: No way.  Not against this D.  There's nothing wrong with Davis, but he's certainly not going to merit a start this week.

Tre Mason: If you know what the Rams backfield carry distribution is going to look like this (or any) week, can you give me lottery numbers?  Or take me to Vegas?  Because you are clearly a soothsayer.

Rams WRs: They're a lackluster group at the best of times, and the blitz-heavy Cards figure to neutralize the Rams air game.  There's not a whole lot to be optimistic about here.

Other Matchups:

Carson Palmer/Michael Floyd/Larry Fitzgerald: None of them inspires excitement, but in bye week hell, competence is often enough.

Giants @ Seahawks: Sunday 11/9 @ 4:25 PM EST

Matchups We Love:

Marshawn Lynch: Beast Mode lived up to his namesake last week, and the Giants defense isn't too much better than the Raiders.  He's still an RB1, with elite potential.

Odell Beckham Jr.: He's the best receiving option on the Giants, and maybe in the game.  If the Seahawks can't get pressure on Eli Manning, Beckham could be in line for a big day.  In bye week hell, Beckham could end up a big-time FLEX play.

Matchups We Hate:

Eli Manning: Eli's been too sporadic to really trust, and although this is a diminished version of the Seahawks, it's still a risky play.  Unless you have no better alternative, stay away.

Andre Williams: He's a goal-line gamble, but the odds are stacked against him against Seattle.  I know I said they aren't world beaters, and I stand by that.  They're just good.

Doug Baldwin: The Seahawks dropped 30 on the Raiders last week, and Baldwin (the ostensible WR1) didn't produce.  He's not starting material this week.

Other Matchups:

Russell Wilson: He's been less impressive of late compared to his early-season success, but he certainly won't play poorly against the Giants.

Bears @ Packers: Sunday 11/9 @ 8:30 PM EST

Matchups We Love:

Jay Cutler: I expect a shootout in Lambeau this week, as two very good offenses meet two not-as-good defenses.  The Bears will have to match the Packers high-flying attack with an attack of their own.  Get ready for points.

Matt Forte: The Packers cannot stop the run this season, and Forte is on a four-game 20-point streak in standard scoring.  This is most likely your premier matchup this week.

Brandon Marshall/Alshon Jeffery: Neither has really lived up to his draft billing, but a good game this week could vault either one right back into the upper tier of fantasy receivers.

Martellus Bennett: There should be plenty of receptions to go around this week.  Don't sit a top-five guy, especially not at TE.

Aaron Rodgers: I expect the Packers to set the tone of this game, and I expect it will be on the back of Rodgers.  This NFC North contest will look nothing like a Vince Lombardi coached game.

Jordy Nelson/Randall Cobb: You're not sitting either of these guys.  Nelson is Rodgers's number-one guy, and Cobb may as well set up a tent and roast some marshmallows in the end zone.

Eddie Lacy: I don't see Chicago stopping Lacy.  I'd expect RB2 production out of him again this week.

Matchups We Hate:

Anyone I didn't mention: Because is there anyone else on these teams people are actually rostering?

Panthers @ Eagles: Monday 11/10 @ 8:30 PM EST

Matchups We Love:

Jeremy Maclin:  Maclin is lighting it up in Philadelphia, and though Mark Sanchez may scare some people off, Sanchez's first pass was a bomb to Maclin.  Keep starting him confidently.

Kelvin Benjamin: The best red-zone option the Panthers have.

Cam Newton: I'm not entirely sold on the Eagles defense, and Cam is still effectively Carolina's RB1.

Greg Olsen: He's too reliable at a volatile position to sit, even if he was playing Miami or Arizona.

Matchups We Hate:

Mark Sanchez: Because until further notice, recommending someone to start Mark Sanchez is just irresponsible.

LeSean McCoy: Because this isn't the Shady you drafted.  He'll get decent enough points, but not Shady points.

Other Matchups:

Zach Ertz: Not a whole lot to say about Ertz besides "hope for a TD."
