Tyrone Tracy Jr. - Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Fantasy Football Picks for Week 1 (2025)

Tyrone Tracy Jr. - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Tyrone Tracy Jr. start 'em, sit 'em fantasy football picks for Week 1 of 2025. Should you start or sit Tyrone Tracy Jr. for fantasy football lineups in Week 1?

BALLER MOVE: Start in 12-team leagues

POSITIONAL VALUE: RB2

ANALYSIS: New York Giants running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. quickly took over the starting job in his rookie season and appears poised to remain in that role during his sophomore campaign.

As a rookie, Tracy had a limited role during the first four weeks but took over the backfield in Week 5. From Week 5 on, Tracy averaged 62.3 rushing yards per game and added 18.7 receiving yards per game. During this 13-game stretch, Tracy scored six touchdowns (five rushing) and averaged 13.6 attempts and 3.6 targets per game.

In the NFL draft, the Giants added running back Cam Skattebo from Arizona State in the fourth round. At the time of the section, many expected Skattebo to take a significant portion of Tracy's workload. However, throughout training camp and the start of the preseason, the rookie was sidelined with a hamstring injury.

He eventually made his preseason debut in their final contest, but given the time he missed, fantasy managers should expect Tracy to remain the clear workhorse.

While Skattebo could carve out a role later in the season, seeing that Tracy saw time with the first team during the entirety of training camp and the preseason, fantasy managers should view him as the clear starter. Serving as the lead running back, he will carry solid RB2 status facing the Washington Commanders in Week 1.
