Ray Davis, Zach Charbonnet, Tyler Allgeier: Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em Picks for Fantasy Football Week 14

Zach Charbonnet - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL DFS and Betting Picks

Should I start Ray Davis, Zach Charbonnet, Tyler Allgeier for Week 14? Fantasy football start em, sit em picks and recommendations for the 2024 NFL season.

Week 14 byes aren't very fun for many fantasy managers. There are quite a few excellent running backs who won't play this week, meaning many managers have been scrambling to find replacements. This is the most crucial week of fantasy football this season.

Running backs Joe Mixon, Jonathan Taylor Rhamondre Stevenson, Brian Robinson Jr., and Derrick Henry don't have games this week. While fantasy rosters with those players are generally well off, it's still possible to score a lot of points and still be on the playoff bubble.

Let's break down three RBs that could contribute in emergency situations and whether they're worth starting.

Should I Start Ray Davis for Fantasy Football?

Buffalo Bills running back Ray Davis has now logged four games of double-digit PPR fantasy points this season. He may be an attractive starting option in Week 14, since he rushed 11 times for 63 yards and a touchdown and caught one pass for four yards just a week prior.

By all means, Davis is a solid RB. It just comes down to opportunities. He hasn't had many games with double-digit touches yet, and RB James Cook is still the leader of the backfield. Davis is one of the better RBs to take a shot on simply because he's talented and playing behind a good offensive line. Only do this if you're desperate for a startable RB, though.

He is the RB38 in our half-PPR consensus staff rankings.

Should I Start Zach Charbonnet for Fantasy Football?

You should absolutely start Seattle Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet if the team's starter, Kenneth Walker III (ankle/calf), isn't able to play. His status is up in the air, as he's missed both Wednesday and Thursday practices now with ankle and calf injuries.

He has the highest contingent upside of the backs here because he could get the lead role due to injury. And if he does, he'll handle the lion's share of touches and should have a good day. He should be rostered in far more than 52% of leagues. He's worth picking up if nothing else.

If Walker does play, Charb downgrades to a RB4.

He is the RB30 in our half-PPR consensus staff rankings.

Should I Start Tyler Allgeier for Fantasy Football?

No. We wouldn't recommend starting Atlanta Falcons running back Tyler Allgeier against one of the toughest run defenses in the NFL. The Minnesota Vikings allow the third-fewest PPR fantasy points to running backs this year. This should be another game where lead back Bijan Robinson gets most of the backfield work.

With Robinson healthy, there is very little upside here. This should be a competitive game, and Atlanta has shown they'd prefer Robinson to be heavily involved in those.

He is the RB35 in our half-PPR consensus staff rankings.
