Yankees Reinstate Jazz Chisholm Jr. From The Injured List
4 months agoThe New York Yankees officially reinstated infielder/outfielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. (elbow) from the 10-day injured list prior to Friday's series opener against the Colorado Rockies at Yankee Stadium. In a corresponding move, the Yankees optioned infielder Oswald Peraza to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Thursday. Chisholm has avoided season-ending surgery on the UCL in his left elbow and should return to the Yankees' starting lineup immediately on Friday at third base against Rockies left-hander Kyle Freeland. It's a welcomed development for the Yankees and fantasy managers alike, as the 26-year-old has appeared very comfortable in pinstripes so far, going 18-for-57 (.316) with seven homers, 11 RBI and five steals in 14 games since being acquired in a trade with the Miami Marlins. Get him back into your fantasy lineups on Friday if he's indeed back in New York's lineup.
