Wil Myers Dealing With Patellar Tendinitis, Out Again Thursday
4 years agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Wil Myers (knee), who exited the game early with right knee inflammation on Tuesday, is dealing with patellar tendinitis and remains out of the starting lineup for Thursday's series finale against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The good news is that manager Jayce Tingler said that Myers is making progress and could return to the lineup soon, possibly as early as Friday to begin the first series against the division-rival Los Angeles Dodgers. Myers entered as a pinch-hitter on Wednesday night and has been dealing with right knee trouble since spring training. The good news is that fantasy managers should have him back in their lineups in short order. Tucupita Marcano is starting in right field and batting seventh on Thursday against Pirates right-hander Mitch Keller.
