Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Back At First Base Against Astros
5 months agoToronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (finger) is back at first base and batting third in the order on Tuesday against the visiting Houston Astros and rookie right-hander Spencer Arrighetti. Guerrero was hit in his finger on his right hand in Sunday's contest against the New York Yankee. X-rays came back negative, but the Blue Jays scratched him as a precaution for the series opener on Canada Day on Monday against the Astros. The 25-year-old right-handed hitter is back for fantasy managers now and needs to be returned to all starting lineups, especially given the fact that he's heated up at the dish of late. Guerrero will be taking a modest six-game hitting streak into Tuesday's game. During his streak, he's gone 13-for-26 (.500) with four home runs, five doubles and 17 RBI to raise his season slash line to .297/..375/.471.
