Tyrod Taylor Doesn't Expect To Miss Rest Of The Season
1 year agoNew York Giants quarterback Tyrod Taylor (ribs), who was placed on Injured Reserve last weekend, said his rib injury is "not season-ending in my mind." Taylor said nobody has told him he'll need to miss the rest of the 2023 season after he suffered a rib injury in Week 8. Daniel Jones is now out for the rest of the year after tearing his right ACL in the Week 9 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, so the Giants are forced to move forward with rookie Tommy Devito as their starter under center, starting in Week 10 against the division-rival Dallas Cowboys. New York has been non-committal on whether the 34-year-old Taylor will be back this year. At the very least, he'll have to miss the next three games while on IR. Depending on how DeVito fares in a starting role, Taylor could be an option to take over the starting gig in Week 14.
