Trevor Etienne Continues to Struggle
Trevor Etienne saw plenty of action in the team's 20-3 preseason loss to the Houston Texans on Saturday. As the third back to enter the game, he rushed seven times for 18 yards and caught his only target for a seven-yard gain. Etienne's involvement wasn't limited to the offensive side of the ball. The fourth-round pick from the University of Georgia also returned two kickoffs for 45 yards. However, his performance on the ground has been a bit of a struggle so far this preseason. He has rushed for 21 yards on nine carries over both preseason games. With Chuba Hubbard and free-agent signee Rico Dowdle ahead of him on the depth chart, Etienne is currently projected to be the third running back. His ability to contribute on special teams could also make him a valuable occasional kick returner for the Panthers during the 2025 season. Etienne is RB80 in the latest RotoBaller rankings and is mainly an option in deep leagues.
