Tommy Pham Tests Positive For COVID-19
4 years agoSan Diego Padres general manager A.J. Preller said that outfielder Tommy Pham tested positive for COVID-19, but he is asymptomatic. It means that Pham will get a late start to summer camp. A top-20 fantasy outfielder because of his mix of power and speed, the 32-year-old hit .273/.369/.450 with 21 home runs, 68 RBI, 77 runs and 25 stolen bases over 568 at-bats for the Rays in 2019. Pham is intriguing because of his multi-category contributions, but he was already a potentially overvalued fantasy player with his move to pitcher-friendly Petco Park. The fact that he could be stuck in quarantine for the next several weeks means he might not be up to full speed for Opening Day in late July. Pham should be dropped at least a few pegs on your fantasy draft boards.
