Washington Capitals forwards Tom Wilson (lower body) and Aliaksei Protas (lower body) have been ruled out for Wednesday's tilt against the Dallas Stars. Wilson will skip a second straight game, while Protas won't be available for a third consecutive contest. With two top-six pieces out, Washington's young talent stepped up on Monday night against the Anaheim Ducks. Justin Sourdif matched the Capitals' rookie record with five points (three goals, two assists), and Connor McMichael had four assists in a 7-4 win.
