TJ Friedl Goes on Paternity List
TJ Friedl was placed on the paternity list on Tuesday and outfielder Rece Hinds was recalled from Triple-A Louisville in a corresponding move. Freidl will now be away from the team for a few days and probably won't be back until Thursday's series opener against the Atlanta Braves. With Friedl away on Tuesday, Will Benson is starting in center field and Gavin Lux will bat out of the leadoff spot against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The 29-year-old Friedl has reached double-digit home runs for the third straight season with the Reds. He's currently slashing .269/.371/.398 with a .769 OPS, 10 home runs, 36 RBI, 10 stolen bases and 63 runs scored in 103 games in his fifth year in the big leagues. Friedl offers modest power/speed contributions in deep-mixed leagues and struggles against lefty pitchers.
