Titans Still Evaluating Marcus Mariota
Marcus Mariota (elbow) is still being evaluated, and the team is hoping for good news. Mariota had to leave the Week 1 contest against the Dolphins and was experiencing numbness in his hand and fingers. That doesn't seem to be a good sign, but we'll wait for clarification on the extent of his injury. The 24-year-old was just 9-for-16 for 103 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions in the season opener. With the team's two best offensive tackles -- Jack Conklin and Taylor Lewan -- hurt and tight end Delanie Walker (ankle) done for the year, the Titans are definitely hurting early. It's even more bad news for an already injured Mariota heading into Week 2 against the Texans. Even if he's able to play this week, he'll be an option to avoid.
